Cross-country ski rental

When it snows outside and the sun shines brightly, for many it will be ideal to ski in the park or ride down the slope. But what if you don't have your own skis? It is not necessary to buy them at all. You can just rent skis. Many companies provide this service. website - a specialized platform where advertisements for the rental of various things are posted by both individuals and rental organizations. Ski rentals offer a wide range of cross-country skis for professionals and beginners.

In the presence of women's, men's and children's cross-country skis of various sizes from well-known manufacturers of sports equipment. Such products are quite easy to use, light and reliable. Overcoming a couple of kilometers in ski-skating is not difficult even for an amateur. You can easily find the best option for you.

How to choose cross-country skis?

  1. When choosing skis, you should be guided by their scope. For example, what kind of snow will be practiced on? You need to choose classic or skating models according to the type of snow: dry or wet.
  2. You should also focus on the preparation of the skier. Models with a high coefficient of rigidity should be taken by a person with excellent physical shape who has the technique of skiing on high level. For beginners, "soft" models with a low stiffness coefficient are suitable.
  3. When choosing, you need to focus on the height and weight of the skier. The length of the classic models is selected taking into account the height of the athlete plus 30 cm, and the length skating- 20 cm is added to the height of the athlete.
  4. Skis in Moscow should be chosen taking into account the weight of the skier, the level of softness and flexibility of the product depends on this. For example, for an athlete of 60 kg, you should choose skis that are more flexible and soft than for athletes with more weight.

Where to rent skis

Ski rental will save you money as you don't have to buy expensive equipment. You can then only use fixtures when needed. Then, if skiing is just a hobby for you, then you should not invest a lot of money in professional equipment, as this will be a waste of your money. When it comes to children's skis, they grow quickly and your child will not have enough ski equipment next year, so it's better to rent them.

We bring to your attention short review ski slopes in Moscow and the Moscow suburbs. Our attention was drawn to the best tracks for skiers created in the capital region of Russia.

Don't know where to ski?

We will tell you. Read the article and you will learn about the best places where you can safely go skiing, classic and any other course. Whatever you like or are most familiar with.

It is skiers who need the steepness of the spurs. They are limited in the choice of the route and are firmly tied to the mountain slopes. And to get to the start, skiers and snowboarders will need a cable car. Something valuable and useful. Only moneybags who own resorts spread in the spurs of mountain ranges can build such a power. High-income amateurs can afford to visit such places.

Places adapted for visiting by ordinary skiers

When snow falls on the ground and securely covers it with a white veil, lovers active rest can run on cross-country skis in almost any territory. But it’s still more pleasant to walk along a pre-prepared ski track.

Experienced skiers gather and arrange friendly matches, as a rule, in two or three favorite places. Where you can easily get to your car and leave it there in a guarded parking lot.

But where to go for those who have just bought skis, poles, a suit, a hat, gloves and, most importantly, boots in our online store? Where can you try your hand at skiing?

We will take the liberty of suggesting places that, from our point of view, are the most prepared for comfortable skiing in Moscow. The paths of which are laid through beautiful natural landscapes.

So. Go?

Krasnogorsk

According to the study, a method of studying the reviews of cross-country skiers, the ski track in Krasnogorsk is considered the best place. The track is constantly maintained in proper condition, regardless of the dates of sporting events.

Control over the state of the route, abounding big amount loops and laid along the glades, carries out multiple champion skiing I. S. Utrobin. A dense forest area protects skiers in bad weather with chilly winds. The absence of loitering personalities from among local residents is an additional argument in favor of the described route.

Convenient topographic location with the possibility of access by transport along the Volokolamskoye and Novorizhskoye highways and free parking add another argument in favor of our proposal.

There are places at the ski base where you can change clothes. Rent a wardrobe. Swim in the shower and visit the toilet.

On the second position of the rating - Odintsovo

The track itself is in constant “combat readiness”, but the inconvenient location and the lack of comfortable service lowers the “image” park zone for cross-country or commercial skiing.

People are forced to change clothes in the salons of their cars. He leaves the cars in the parking lot at the military hospital and goes on foot to the ski track, which is laid along the former path, where roller skis train in the summer.

The length of the ski track is just over six kilometers. In winter, additional loops are trampled. Thanks to them, it becomes possible to draw different options for the routes of the route.

In third place we have Bitsevsky Park

It is located 101 kilometers away. Just opposite the MKR "Yasenevo". Members of the Alfa-Bitsa club took responsibility for the preparation, condition and geometry of the track. On their territory you can park your car for a moderate fee.

The entrance is from the side of the Moscow Ring Road, after the sign for the 37th kilometer, behind the bus stop.

The club has friendly staff. You can always solve questions with him, where to change clothes and entrust something for storage.

This place is popular with peddlers. Entrepreneurs are happy to organize itinerant trade sportswear and accessories from trays and pavilions.

Convenient location and high-quality, well-prepared ski tracks attract many skiers to Bitsevsky Park, especially on weekends and holidays.

Even in Bitsevsky Park, in the immediate vicinity of the Anino MKR, there are also several ski slopes. But they were prepared by the forces of the Aninsky SDYUSSHOR. People come here to ski in groups and alone. Cars are parked - where they can find a place.

The next base is Glider

Here the ski track is perfectly prepared in a large and complex circle. But only on the eve of the competition. There is a shop and a dressing room, a workshop and other services. There is a large area for car parking.

But getting here is problematic. Due to the constant and excessive traffic congestion of the Leningradskoye Highway. Public transport is also unable to simplify the problem of getting skiers to Glider.

The track at the stadium "Medic" in Romashkovo

There are always ready circles, 3-5-10-15 km long. For running classic or skating. The ski track is laid in the forest, among the trees. Want to run and breathe in the healing air? Then come here.

You can change your clothes in the locker room at the Medic stadium. Then cross the MKAD and you are on the ski run. It runs over rough terrain and requires runners to sports training. But beginners will easily find a place on the plain where they can draw their circles.

Let's talk a little more about Krylatsky

Despite the fact that there are no pre-prepared slopes, a lot of people come to ski near Romashkovo. Races are held along the ring for bicycles.

Especially for skiers, no one prepares the track, but the cycle track is often well trampled down, and this allows skiers with good physical fitness (due to the elevation difference) to run almost at any time of the day. Because the administration of the MKR does not save on the coverage of the territory under its jurisdiction, and the ski run also gets something.

The administration of the Lata-Trek sports complex, the owner of the cycling circle, promised that in the 2015/16 season, in December, they would prepare the track for skiers. They also expressed their hope that they will have competitions in skiing.

Cars can be left on Krylatskaya Street, which is opposite ice stadium, directly at the entrance to the cycle track. Most outdoor enthusiasts do just that.

But there is another good, but secluded place through which you can immediately get to the territory of the sports complex to wash, change clothes, have a bite to eat or have a delicious lunch in a cafe - this is if you stop by the Romashkovo MKR on the street. Krylatsky hills, and opposite the house number 9, between the garages, there is an entrance to the cycle track. That's where you turn.

From here you can ski perfectly, right up to the small circle. Physically strong skiers are not forbidden to run throughout the territory of the Lata-Trek Sports Complex.

The eternal problem in these places is the inhabitants of Krylatskoye. They love to walk themselves and their children around the territory. Often with dogs of different temperaments and upbringing. There were times when both cyclists and skiers had to fight off not only our smaller brothers, but also their owners.

In the last position of our rating - Troitsk

The only track for cross-country skiing where it was specially equipped with a lighting line is the city circle. Local authorities, may the years of their reign last, found reserves and were able to please adherents healthy lifestyle life illumination in the dark. This provided unprecedented safety conditions for ski races.

To get to the ski track, you need to drive along the Moscow Ring Road, turn onto the Kaluga highway, and after fifteen kilometers turn right in the village of Vatutinki, after the traffic light. Activate the GPS-navigator and enter the final destination microdistrict "B". In the MKR, in order not to get lost, ask the taxi drivers: “How to get to the ski slope?”

Here, the preparation of the ski track is responsibly. Most importantly, as we have already written above, it is beautifully lit from evening to morning. The circle is laid on the plain. This is two kilometers through the forest thicket!

Be sure to make a trip to Troitsk. You will not regret.

It is unrealistic to write about all the ski slopes in Moscow and the Moscow suburbs in one article. There are a lot of places where the ski tracks have been trodden. We told you only about a small, but significant in the circles of skiers, a fraction of such tracks and paths for true skiing enthusiasts.

In the article you will find detailed information about the ski track, travel, parking, infrastructure.

Before you go out to ride on rough terrain (with slides and elevation changes), you need to master the basic techniques of safe descent and braking. We have digitized excerpts from the book "On the ski track near Moscow" devoted to these issues:

  • Don't waste your money. Don't buy expensive equipment. Even the cheapest modern skis are good enough to start with. Check out the season for them, and then you will understand whether you need it or the skis will remain in the pantry. Ski rentals are available on some slopes.
  • Exists two riding styles: classic and skating. Skate style looks more spectacular, but requires better physical training. Start with classic skis. Although it is more difficult to ride “classic” correctly than “skate”, it will be easier to start with “classic”.
  • Lubricant. In order for the skis to ride well, you need to rub them with glide wax. So that the skis do not slide down when lifting, the area under the boot should be rubbed with grip wax. Each type of ointment is designed for different temperatures. More about ointments. If you don't want to bother with holding wax, buy notched skis.
  • Don't aim for "steep" tracks. Start riding on easy tracks. When you are confident to stand on skis, switch to complex ones.
  • Thermos and sandwiches. Any extra item that you take with you will interfere with you. Therefore, it is better to leave food in the car.
