Roupjumping in the Crimea. The best places in Crimea for jumping from rocks with a rope. Step and fly

Reading time: 5 minutes

Sooner or later, everyone starts looking for thrills. Monotonous everyday life, stable work, calm on the personal front - all this pushes us to search for something fundamentally new, extraordinary, beyond the boundaries of our usual life. This article is for those who are looking for themselves, who have already found and do not want to stop, and for those who are simply curious.

Rope jumping is an extreme recreation, where a free fall from a height with insurance and a hover attracts most extreme sports lovers to experience an indescribable feeling. An essential point - not to be confused with bungee jumping, where a person jumps upside down, tied by the legs to a rubber rope.

A little history about him

Ropejumping as a new sport was discovered by American rock climber Dan Osman. He was engaged in mountaineering, but he was prevented from reaching a decent level in this sport by the fear of falling, realizing this - he came up with a way to overcome his phobia - to jump from high-rise objects on insurance on purpose.

The effect exceeded all expectations - this strong-willed man not only suppressed his fear, but also set world records thanks to his high-speed solo ascents of the most difficult routes without the use of insurance. He pioneered the popularization of solo climbing and rope jumping.

Sadly, the end of his life was tragically connected with rope jumping - he fell off during the next jump. Indeed, it is worth noting that specifications the equipment at that time was worse than modern, besides, being a desperate extreme sportsman, Osman jumped on one rope, without an understudy, which led to a tragic denouement.

Where and how are the jumps

All places where jumping takes place are collectively called "objects" by people familiar with this sport. They can be divided into two conditional types: natural and urban. Natural - these are, as a rule, rocky and mountain peaks, urban - bridges, roofs, towers, towers.

Almost any high-rise object is suitable for rope jumping. Jumps are carried out under the clear guidance of an instructor after a thorough check of the equipment and the reliability of the fasteners.
For beginners and experienced athletes, instructors, as a rule, select different objects, because an inexperienced person risks injury when jumping from a complex object.

The jump takes place as follows - two instructors fix equipment on a person, or rather, one fixes it under the strict control of the second - this precaution is mandatory in order to avoid injuries.

After that, the person is repelled from the object and goes into free fall for a few seconds. At the same time, it is important to push off well so that the jump does not turn out to be sluggish. After that, the third instructor carefully organizes the descent.

The technical side of rope jumping

Before starting ropejumping, the team technician develops a system - looking for the best places for belays, calculates the most comfortable and safe jumping angle, and measures the allowable free fall height. Before proceeding with the admission of clients to the object, the technicians study it comprehensively: they make jumps at various angles, do flips and somersaults in the air, deliberately provoke possible impact situations, and only after making sure that it is completely safe, they open it.

Ropejumping uses a multi-level insurance system. This is standard climbing equipment - standard marine knots and carabiners are used for attachment. Conventionally, insurance can be divided into three stages: dynamic, static and cargo. The cargo is the least durable and thinnest, it is used when climbing an object and during fixing equipment for jumping.

The static rope is the base of the entire jump system, it is it that is attached to the object. A dynamic rope is attached to the static rope by means of a movable roller (the rope on which the person who made the jump hangs). During the jump, the roller rolls, which provides gentle braking and prevents a person from hitting an object.

Each insurance fastening is duplicated, that is, when the first (which is almost impossible) breaks, the second fastening holds the person.

During the jump, a person must be wearing a helmet, this is required in order not to get injured from contact with the insurance mount (if suddenly the jump was not made according to the rules of the instructions).
Before jumping, everyone must fill out a special document with a list of diseases for which jumping is prohibited.

Jumps are made from bridges, buildings, rocks, where the following equipment is used:

  • Helmet;
  • A set of ropes (dynamic and static);
  • Safety harness systems with wide leg and waist belts;
  • Metal cables for fastening;
  • Carabiners;
  • hinges;
  • protectors;
  • Block rollers.
  • Spinal injury;
  • Cardiovascular diseases;
  • mental illness;
  • Bronchial asthma;
  • Omission of the kidneys;
  • Pregnant;
  • Alcoholic drinks (strictly prohibited).

Popular places for ropejumping in Crimea

Kachi-Kalyon

One of the most popular, its height is about 120 meters, the fall depth is 50 meters. The rock forms a negative angle, so it is suitable for beginners.

Jumping from Cape Fiolent

Its height is 62 meters, the depth of the fall is 50 meters. Great for beginners! The rock forms a negative angle - which is exactly what beginners in ropejumping need to avoid the risk of hitting. In addition, a relatively low height and a jump above the water will cause much less frightening sensations.

Ilyas-Kaya

The height is 680 meters above sea level, the rock wall is 80 meters high, the fall depth is 60 meters.
This place is only for experienced ones, the rock is almost sheer, so beginners risk getting injured and are strictly not allowed here.

Shaan-Kaya

It is 900 meters above sea level. For a very long time it was the highest rock wall in the CIS. One of the few places in the world to such an extent where jumps are made. Attached is a stunning view of the panorama of the Crimean coast. ()
Suitable only for advanced users with extensive jumping experience.

Review

Sergey (Moscow)
Crimea is a great place for the first jump. Picturesque landscapes brighten up the atmosphere of fear. A jump from Cape Fiolent is especially pleasant - thrills and delight are provided, although it is preferable to take two at once if this is the first jump. It is the second one that reveals the feeling of what is happening in its entirety and allows you to experience the delight not only of free fall, but of the breathtaking view that opens up.

Only extreme personalities can experience the feeling of free flight. To give yourself an unforgettable life-long jump that will flash in a matter of moments before your eyes is a reality. For some, this will seem reckless, but for some, the release of adrenaline is simply vital, like insulin for a diabetic, like oxygen for any living creature, and then you start looking for it, looking everywhere.

"Jump to live!". So in a few words you can describe the motto of ropejumpers. They jump to get a good shake and prove to themselves and the world that they are the chosen ones, because not everyone can overcome the instinct of self-preservation and take a step into the abyss. Rope flying is the destiny of strong people.

During the jump, the depreciation system is triggered, dynamic insurance is used, thanks to which the jerk experienced by a person during the jump is reduced. Advanced level rope jumpers in the air even manage to do acrobatic stunts. They say that once you decide on such an adventure, you won't be able to stop again.

Where is the rock?

Shaan-kai hangs in an isosceles triangle over the city of Alupka. The height of the mountain is 250 meters. You can almost drive up to its foot by car, but then you will have to leave the transport, as the protected area begins. A wide dirt road leads to the rock, along which foresters drive. There is a mountain forest here, it is almost deserted, here the air smells of pine needles and one feels complete solitude.

A jump from the Shaan-kai cliff is not just a jump, first you will need to make a difficult ascent, but what will be revealed to your eyes is worth it to “crawl” upwards overcoming fatigue. An unforgettable view of the forest, the coast and the sea surface opens from here, you immediately want to grab a camera to take at least a piece of this beauty with you.

The rock is tilted forward, its slope is negative, the free fall is 150 m deep, the flight takes place over the protected Crimea, all these factors together determine the place for jumping.

Step and fly

By jumping, you will develop a speed of up to 180 km / h! It takes a surprisingly long time to fly, during this time you can fully experience what the birds feel when circling over the Crimean pines. The jump here is not like jumping, for example, from a bridge, the breathtaking height does its job.

Here you literally push yourself off the cliff in defiance of all self-preservation instincts. With every second of flight, your speed increases by 35 km / h.

Here you have time to experience a feeling of wild horror several times, but you still continue to fly. I want to close my eyes tightly and scream in fear. But then the reset system works and only one thought pulsates in my head: “I am whole”, which is replaced by a more insistent one: “I want to experience this again!”. Flying over the forest, perhaps for the first time, you feel what real freedom is.

Organizational moments

You can come here with an organized group and live away from civilization for a whole week. For an unprepared person, such a long separation from civilization will be especially exotic. On the first and second days, equipment is installed and fastened, in the next three jumps, a day is always given in reserve in case of adverse weather.

In order to jump, you need excellent health, an experienced instructor will ask you in detail about your well-being and identify contraindications. It should be noted that beginners will not even be allowed to the edge of the cliff, there must be experience and not in words, but documented or otherwise confirmed.

Are you a fan of extreme sports? Are you always on the hunt for the most thrills? Can't imagine your life without adrenaline rush and heart palpitations? Then you are definitely in Alupka to commit the biggest recklessness in life!

Calm office work contributes to the desire of young people to tickle their nerves and get a certain adrenaline rush.

Demand creates supply. And now fans of extreme sports are already offered flights on hang gliders and paragliders. Parasailers fly over the water on parachutes attached to the boat, Daredevils master light aviation, windsurf boards, ride the waves on a board driven by a kite (kitesurfing), go diving ...

And there are excellent conditions for all this in the Crimea.

But life cannot stand still, there are innovative ways to test your courage and experience the thrill.
Rope jumping is a young sport and very extreme. The athlete is jumping high altitude with the help of a rather complex depreciation system, consisting of climbing ropes and equipment. The jump itself may or may not include a free fall phase. Experienced masters demonstrate beautiful acrobatic elements at the moment of free fall. Extreme lovers get a lot of vivid impressions on such an attraction.

IN extreme sports rest the most important condition is their safety.
Safety in ropejumping is provided by three main components:

  • - the quality of equipment;
  • — the level of knowledge and training of trainers;
  • — coherence of work and competence of the team of organizers.

Therefore, before testing your own courage, you need to make sure that all components are impeccable, carefully look at how each performs its functions and how they all work together. It is very important to test the equipment, because your health and life itself depend on it. Do not take risks if there is the slightest doubt about anything.

Peculiarities of Crimean ropejumping.

When a person parachutes from an airplane, the earth looks like a topographic map to him, and it does not seem so scary.
It’s a completely different feeling for someone who stands on top of a cliff. What is below is close enough, and it is much scarier! But the drive and adrenaline is much more.

Ropejumping in the Crimea, although it appeared recently, almost immediately became popular. Thrill-seekers come here from different cities of our country and from abroad. And all because the local rocks seem to be specially created for rope jumping - they are sheer and easy to get to.

The largest object for ropejumping in the CIS is located on south coast Crimea. This is Shaan-Kaya rock.
But it is far from the only place on the peninsula, which was chosen by lovers of extreme jumps. They can be found on Ai-Petri, in the Novy Svet (right above the "Grotto of Chaliapin") and not only. And every year there are more such "jumpers".

But what is surprising is that there are few Crimean organizations that would professionally engage in such a sport (recreation, entertainment).
Perhaps the reason is the need for experience and special knowledge. Of course, there must be equipment top quality, and personal passion, because before putting the object into operation, the organizers need to test it well on themselves.

The approximate price for a jump in the Crimea is 1500 rubles.

How does this happen?

Ropejumping is carried out using climbing equipment. The ropes are fixed on two ledges of the rock. They cushion the person during the jump. The system is duplicated for security purposes, so that if the first fails, the second can connect. Carabiners and ropes are able to withstand up to several tons when tested for breaking.

The cushioning system rushes after the person who has jumped. A few seconds of free fall (they may seem like an eternity), then braking, and that's it ... the hero swings like a pendulum.

Can everyone afford such entertainment?

No! There is a whole list of diseases in the presence of which route jumping is contraindicated. These include, for example:
- various spinal injuries;
- problems with blood pressure;
- heart disease;
- certain vision problems and so on.
Women who are pregnant should not jump.
Before the jump, everyone is invited to fill out a special questionnaire (registration sheet), which contains a complete list of such diseases.

Ropejumping in Kachi-Kalyon (Crimea) – VIDEO!

Maisky, Crimea. You are standing on a rock, and only a step separates you from meeting with the wildest fear in your life - fear of heights. What is stronger in you - will or instinct? Once you jump into the abyss, you will never be the same again. And only thin climbing ropes, harness and a pair of carabiners determine what and how they will talk about this jump: with you or about you.

Rope jumping is an extreme sport that has become a mass entertainment. Its essence is a rope jump from high ground objects: bridges, rocks, buildings and even trees. Now air-to-air jumps have also appeared - from a balloon, but such experience is the prerogative of professionals.

So that a jumping person does not break in half from a jerk at the moment the fall stops, athletes organize with the help of climbing equipment complex system depreciation. As a result, the body seems to spring on a stretching dynamic rope or swing on a dying pendulum - when jumping without free fall.

This sport appeared by chance. According to legend, the American climber Dan Osman experienced a fear of failures on the routes, which interfered with his professional development. Then he began to practice deliberate breakdowns. And he liked this process so much that he developed it into an independent hobby.

Today, rope jumping is not just an activity for frostbitten extreme people. It was turned into an attraction for dummies. And one of the popular places for jumping was our Crimea. Teams from all over the former Soviet Union come here. They jump on Fiolent, Kachi-Kalyon, on the Red Stone, Ilyas-Kaya, Shan-Kaya, in Eagle Bay and on the White Rock above Belogorsk. The organizers are looking for more and more "exits" - places where you can jump. And already tested ones are used for training and jumping first-timers.

The most popular place for the first jump is the Kachi-Kalyon rock in the Bakhchisarai region. For a beginner, a jump from 80 meters will cost 1,500 rubles, from 150 meters - 3,000 rubles. These are the prices of the Crimean organizers. Teams from the mainland usually come with their clients and conditions may vary.

They say that everyone should experience something like this in their life. Here is how one of the newcomers describes the impressions: “Imagine a strong toothache, so strong that there is nothing in the world but this pain, you can’t think about anything else. And suddenly - the pain passes or lets go, the world is immediately filled with colors and sounds, you begin to feel life. So it is here - you break away, first a fall, and then the feeling that you are letting go. The "feeling of letting go" is a brief moment of freedom and euphoria."

Some come to the exit only once - to tick off their list of personal achievements. After the first jump, someone realizes that conscious fear is hundreds of times stronger, and climbs the rock again and again to overcome himself once again. And someone gets hooked on jumping and becomes an adrenaline addict - he tries more and more new objects, travels around the world with different teams, masters acrobatic tricks and elements performed by experienced athletes during the jump.

And every time it becomes more and more terrible: “I have enough jumping experience,” the rope jumper shares on social networks. - I've been jumping for years. Therefore, it was not particularly scary to jump out, but already in flight I overstretched myself specifically. I’m flying and thinking: something is not stretching the rope, well, now it’s time for it to stretch. I flew, jumped ... And then the rope begins to lead me to the pendulum, and I understand that I will live. Bliss!"

Why is it scary even for those who eventually make their way from a beginner to an organizer? How dangerous are such activities?

The answer to these questions may be the fate of the creator of rope jumping, Dan Osman. In 1998, while making another record jump, Dan crashed when the only rope could not stand it. Osman was a real extreme, not recognizing insurance, during his lifetime he said: “I am not suicidal. When you sit on the sofa with your eyes fixed on the drawer, you die. I feel most alive when I am face to face with my fear.”

It's one thing when you jump at your own peril and risk. Another is when you have the responsibility for the life of a beginner in your hands.

“This is much scarier than skydiving,” says one of the organizers. - In this system, there are many more nodes that can fail at the most crucial moment - ropes, carabiners, descenders. Another risk factor is the proximity of the terrain - you are not jumping into the void. And the well-coordinated work of the team, of course, plays a role. A lot depends on the experience of the organizers.”

One of the founders of Russian rope jumping, Sergei Sumberg aka Nefedov, collects statistics on jumping accidents. In his list of 35 prerequisites for accidents, when from serious injury and the deaths of the participants were saved only by incredible luck, 67 non-fatal accidents and 11 fatal ones.

But even he finds it difficult to answer what a beginner should pay attention to when he is about to jump from a cliff with a rope under the supervision of the organizing team. In his book on rope jumping, he is going to devote an entire chapter to this issue, but for now he admits that he has only two epigraphs:

“The man just wanted to jump like a client, but not like a ram. So he learns about the team that has to jump ... "(Forum Ropejumping.ru)

“…One of the worst examples among jump projects. A wild contrast between advertising and reality ”(From personal correspondence with the organizers of other teams)

And yet, having familiarized ourselves with Sergey's statistics, we decided to sketch out a couple of tips for beginners.

First of all, the jumper must understand that rope jumping is a real extreme. And these jumps have nothing to do with the attraction. Even if you choose very experienced organizers and this will be your tenth or hundredth jump, you are not immune from the fact that something will go wrong. The carabiner may burst, the harness may break, you may somehow separate or perform a dangerous trick. In this case, every move can be the last.

When choosing an organizer, try to get feedback from your friends, read the information on the Internet, including on specialized forums. Ask as many questions as possible, including stupid and uncomfortable ones. If the organizer does not know anything about accidents in rope jumping, is not inclined to discuss and analyze them, but speaks exclusively with advertising slogans, this is already a reason to be wary.
It must be remembered that the organizers practically do not risk anything. Rope jumping in Russia is not regulated by law, and the organizers ask the client to write a receipt that he is aware of the consequences and takes responsibility. “If something happens to a client, it will be very difficult to prove someone’s guilt, because we simply don’t have experts in Russia who can assess the correctness of the organizers’ actions,” says an experienced rope jumper.

Take your time and do not rush to jump right away. For the first time, just attend the exit, see how the team works. What should alert you? Lack of coherence of actions and clear, repeating algorithms from jump to jump. The more complex the object, the larger the team itself should be, and mutual control is the key to a successful event.

See how the participants communicate with each other, with customers. Unfortunately, a significant part of the accidents in rope jumping is due to inattention and some laxity in work. Organizers can be very collected when working with strangers, and when they start jumping themselves or “leaving” friends, they relax and forget to double-check the system once again.

You need to understand that alcohol in rope jumping is not allowed either for the organizers or for customers. Loud music, a large number of strangers on the site can interfere - any attempts to turn extreme sports into entertainment reduce safety.

It makes no sense to write about the pre-jump testing of the system, the reliability of equipment and the correct choice of exits. These are the questions for which the organizer is responsible. And for a beginner, understanding them will not be easy - it's like advising a doctor how to treat you after reading about the symptoms on the Internet.

But if you're worried about something, feel free to ask questions. Listen to your inner feelings. If you don’t want to jump, perhaps today is simply not your day - accident statistics know situations when a premonition saved a jumper from a fatal step.

And the last thing: if you decide to jump, do not stop. Unless, of course, you are not attracted by the popularity of Slavik Irreplaceable - the most popular rope jumper in Runet.

Remember that doubts at the last moment can become fatal: there were situations when jumpers during the separation tried to grab onto the protruding parts of the exit - and this ended in injuries and even death.

At the time of the jump, clearly follow everything that you were told in the briefing. And please, more caution and less self-confidence.

SIMFEROPOL, July 22 - RIA Novosti (Crimea). There are many in Crimea. Active entertainment not only professionals, but also ordinary tourists who want to diversify their leisure time can find here. This includes scuba diving, parachuting, flying over water, and much more.

Where can you jump. To date, there are several jumping sites in Crimea: the Yukharin Balka airfield in Sevastopol, the Zavodskoye airfield in Simferopol, as well as the legendary Mount Klementyev in Koktebel, where the "parachute season" starts in the coming days.

In general, the preparation and jump take two days: the first - briefing and training, the second - the end of the briefing and the jump itself. The height of the jump and the type of parachute used may vary. The first-timers are invited to jump from a relatively small 1300-meter height with an automatically deploying wing-type parachute. Such a parachute has greater maneuverability, horizontal speed and landing comfort. "Classic" jumps, as a rule, are performed from a height of 3-3.5 km, alone or in tandem with an instructor.

How much does it cost. An independent parachute jump, including preliminary training, equipment rental and insurance, will cost an average of 5 thousand to 6 thousand rubles. A tandem jump with an instructor costs about twice as much - 10.5 thousand rubles. At the same time, for jumpers weighing more than 90 kg, a tandem jump with an instructor will cost 1,000 rubles more.

Ropejumping

The unique landscape of the Crimea with high sheer cliffs and canyons makes the peninsula one of the main centers of attraction for fans of jumping on a rope from a great height. Despite the fact that rope jumping appeared on the peninsula relatively recently, a fairly developed infrastructure of this extreme entertainment has already been formed here, suitable for both beginners and experienced jumpers. Where can you jump. The most popular Crimean places for ropejumping are Bakhchisaray district, South Coast, Sevastopol. To make the first rope jump, it is best for beginners to choose Cape Fiolent. Here is a relatively low height - 41 meters, giving 30 meters and 1.5 seconds of free fall over the water surface of the sea.

Also, for beginner rope jumpers, the Kullu-Kaya mountain range between the villages of Tankovoe and Kuibyshevo in the Bakhchisarai region (rock height - 70 meters, free fall - 50 meters) and Mount Ilyas-Kaya above Laspi Bay on the South Coast (cliff height - 80 meters, free fall - 60 meters, 3.5 seconds of flight).

More daring jumpers go to Kachi-Kalyon - an ancient cave city on the territory of the Bakhchisarai region in the valley of the Kacha River, between the villages of Predushchelnoe and Bashtanovka. The total height of the wall here reaches 120 meters, the depth of the total fall is 65 meters.

Other popular places for ropejumping include Mount Ak-Kaya in the Belogorsky district (fall height - about 100 meters, free fall depth - up to 70 meters) and Ai-Petri on the southern coast of Crimea (total fall height - 100 meters, free fall depth - 75 meters).

The most desperate mountain climbers are attracted by the legendary mountain Shaan-Kaya not far from Alupka. The highest rock with a negative slope in the former Union has always attracted the attention of climbers due to the complexity of the route. Recently, it has also been chosen by fans of rope jumping. Here you can jump from an overhanging cliff from a height of 230 meters. This is the jump with the largest free fall available in the CIS with a depth of more than 150 meters and a free flight duration of 7 seconds.

How much does it cost. The cost of this type of extreme recreation directly depends on the complexity and height of the jump: the higher, the more expensive. For example, on Cape Fiolent and Mount Kullu-Kaya one jump will cost 1600 rubles, on Kachi-Kalyon and Ilyas-Kaya - 2100 rubles. And for an extreme jump on Mount Shaan-Kaya, you will have to pay 5250 rubles already.

Paragliding/hang gliding

- the recognized capital of Russian gliding. Nevertheless, one of the most popular types of aeronautics - paragliding - has become widespread throughout the Crimea. Today it is one of the most rapidly developing varieties extreme tourism on the peninsula.

Where can you fly. Parastarts take place almost along the entire southern coast of Crimea, as well as in Koktebel, Sevastopol and Simferopol. Tours and landscapes for every taste are offered to those who wish to taste the delights: parasafari from Ai-Petri to Fiolent and along the inner ridge of the Crimean mountains, flights from the Ai-Petri, Chatyr-Dag, Demerdzhi mountains, as well as over the Quiet Bay and Kara-Dag in Koktebel , Laspinsky Pass in Sevastopol, the Tash-Dzhargan tract, the Snake Hole cave and the Tas-tao mountain near Simferopol.

How much does it cost. The cost of the flight depends on its duration. The flight can last from 15-20 minutes to one hour. the safari, which includes several flights from different points of the route, can last up to 6 hours in total. The "geographical factor" also influences the price of flights. On the South Coast, the cost of flights is about one and a half times more expensive than in Koktebel, Simferopol or Sevastopol. In particular, a half-hour flight from the top of Ai-Petri will cost 8-9 thousand rubles, from Demerdzhi - 8.5 thousand rubles, excluding photo and video shooting. The cost of paragliding flights in Koktebel, Simferopol and Sevastopol (Kacha) can vary from 2.5-4 thousand rubles (15 minutes) to 6-8 thousand rubles (40 minutes). Parasafari is held for pre-formed groups and will cost from 6 to 12 thousand rubles per group.

You can enjoy the picturesque landscapes of the Quiet Bay and the Karadag Reserve from a bird's eye view and get a fair dose of adrenaline while flying on a hang glider. In the Crimea, "air excursions" on this aeronautics apparatus in tandem with an instructor will start from the Klementyev Mountain mentioned above. The cost of hang-gliding flights varies from 3.5 thousand rubles (15 minutes) to 10 thousand rubles (30 minutes).

Diving

Among those who prefer to combine leisure with educational activities, diving is one of the most suitable species leisure. The picturesque and diverse world of the Crimean coast, its underwater grottoes and caves, sunken ships and other artifacts of various times attract both experienced divers and beginners.

Where to dive. Tarkhankut is rightfully considered one of the most popular places in the Crimea among scuba divers. In addition to clean and transparent water, this place attracts divers with an abundance of beautiful underwater tunnels, caves and grottoes. Among them are the tunnel in Cape Small Atlesh, the legendary Chalice of Love, the Dzhangul tract. In addition, divers still find antiquities from sunken ships here: coins, amphoras, weapons.

The average diving depth on Tarkhankut is from 3 to 20 meters. Not far from the village of Olenevka, at a depth of 12-13 meters, there is the famous "Alley of Leaders" - an underwater museum consisting of busts of famous political figures, as well as poets, writers, composers.

Cape Aya is no less interesting for scuba divers. On its underwater slopes there are grottoes 20-30 meters long, in one of which there is a source of fresh water. Here, in the waters of Balaklava, at a depth of 15 meters, there is an Alley of anchors. Also, the underwater world of Cape Aya is famous for the Dragon Cave (20 meters), the Holy Grotto (15 meters), which sank during the Great Patriotic War with the 130-meter dry-cargo ship Vinovoz.

Cape Khersones. Here, at a depth of 25-30 meters, you can find fragments of ancient antique products, as well as aircraft and ships from the Second World War. There are also picturesque underwater canyons, grottoes and boulders.

Cape Alchak in Sudak is famous for the variety of marine fauna, beautiful underwater landscapes, bizarre boulders, the through grotto of the Eolian Harp. Diving at Alchak is ideal for beginners, the diving depth here is 15-16 meters.

Off the coast of Feodosia, the most popular dives are on the ship Jean-Zhores sunk during the landing of the Feodosia landing force (depth 12-14 meters) and the Soviet submarine Pike sunk near Cape Chauda (depth 8 meters). No less popular is the journey through the Kara-Dag underwater reserve, with its unique underwater landscapes and a variety of underwater flora and fauna.

How much does it cost. The price directly depends on the depth and time of the dive, as well as the complexity of the route. For example, one-hour diving on Tarkhankut paired with an instructor will cost from 1800 rubles (one dive) to 2300 rubles (two dives). On average, for one 30-40-minute dive with an instructor, including preliminary training, uncertified (that is, beginners) divers will have to pay from 2 to 4 thousand, and sometimes from 5 to 6 thousand rubles, including preliminary training with an instructor. The diving depth varies from 6 to 15 meters. Accordingly, the deeper, the more expensive. The extremeness of the routes depends on the preparation of the diver.

For certified divers, the cost of diving is approximately one and a half times lower.

Speleotourism

Speleotourism is another type of extreme tourism in the Crimea, which in last years is gaining immense popularity. A large number of caves, their diversity, special beauty and mystery contribute to the growth of interest in this species active rest.

Where can you go down. Cave excursions for tourists today are held in almost all speleological regions of the Crimea: Ai-Petrinskaya and Dolgorukovskaya yayla, Karabi-yayla, Chatyr-Dag plateau. Residents and guests of the peninsula are offered routes of various duration and difficulty. The 2.5-3.5-kilometer tours to the longest Red Cave in Europe, with overcoming cave siphons along the underground river in special wetsuits, stand out as a high degree of extreme sports.

Extreme caving tours also include a visit to the Miskhor grottoes of Mount Ai-Petri. The expedition involves several descents into the grottoes on climbing equipment from a height of 200 meters above sea level, with a visit to several caves. The tour can take place over 1 or 2 days. The two-day tour involves spending the night in tents in the grotto itself.

Among other popular routes of cave expeditions in the Crimea using climbing equipment is a visit to the vertical Gugerdzhin cave, 22 meters deep, on Mount Chatyr-Dag and Medovaya cave in the 400-meter cliff of Morcheka rock on Ai-Petrinsky Yaila.

For those who do not have enough hours or even one day to enjoy the beauties of the Crimean caves, three-day caving tours to the caves of Chatyr-Dag and Karabi-yayly are offered.

How much does it cost. A standard 4-hour caving tour will cost an average of 2.5-4.5 thousand rubles, a 6-7-hour tour - from 4 thousand to 6.5 thousand rubles per person. The cost of a 10-hour cave trip will average up to 7 thousand rubles. For longer three-day expeditions, you will need to fork out 11-12 thousand rubles, but this amount falls on a group of 6 people in general.

Flyboarding

For Crimea, flyboarding is a relatively new extreme entertainment, but this does not interfere with its rapidly growing popularity.

Kayaking

Until recently, it was considered the prerogative of professionally trained athletes, today kayaking has firmly become fashionable among amateur tourists who want to actively spend their holidays. The indisputable advantage of a kayak is its small size, stability and high maneuverability, which allows tourists to swim in shallow water and swim in small and hard-to-reach bays and grottoes. In addition, these boats are distinguished by low weight, ease of assembly and disassembly and increased safety.

In Crimea, sea kayaking is more popular and widespread, available almost all year round.
