In the Middle Ages, Niguliste was one of the main city churches. It is believed that the temple was founded in the XIII century. and rebuilt several times over the following centuries. In 1944, as a result of the bombing of Niguliste, it was badly damaged, and many of the art treasures that were inside were lost. In 1984, after a 30-year restoration, a museum and a concert hall were opened in the building.
One of the temples where the Catechism was first heard in Estonian. On the facade of the church there is the oldest city clock of the 17th century, which is still in operation. The dance floor in the club is small, because of this, on weekends (and we were just on Saturday) there is just a crowd - there is no other word for it. There are regular tables with chairs (like in restaurants). We were sitting, I don’t even know how to call it correctly. Along the wall with the letter "G" something similar to a bar table is fixed, as it is narrow and long. Tall bar stools line the entire length of this makeshift table. That's all. Comfort is average. As for the drinks themselves, I saw a large selection of cocktails with pictures on the menu, the prices are standard. Again, cocktails are for the ladies (my wife took a few, I don't understand their names). The barmaid, such a pretty girl, famously wielded a shaker. It was a pleasure to watch her.
We started with beer. Draft beer was taken exclusively from local production - this is my principle, being in another country, drink only local beer. The name there is so wonderful: "Saku Kodu Õlu", it's just awesome unfiltered beer. The comrade said that the name translates roughly as “homemade beer from Saku”, and Saku is the village where the beer is actually produced. I liked it very much.
Well, after the beer, as expected, we switched to whiskey. The choice is also standard, I did not find anything new in the assortment for myself. They took "Chivas", the quality seems to be correct.
Since the Shaker Club is open until the morning, we sat as long as we could. But they didn’t sit out everyone, the youth still remained for a walk. And I hardly remember the way back by taxi.
