Why is the pool closed for a month. Which pools are open all year round? Swimming pool in the sports complex "Chaika"

In the Soviet Union, ordinary citizens did not even think about year-round visiting pools. Firstly, why, if there is a river and a beach nearby. Secondly, summer is still the holiday season, when everyone goes to resorts, and there is the sea, the sun, and other joys. In general, if you were not professional athlete, then the pool was closed for you in summer. However, the work of the pools itself usually stopped for the summer.

Swimming pool in summer season

Modern trend to follow healthy lifestyle life all year round for many has turned the pool into a mandatory element of the program several times a week, regardless of the season. Are these people right, or is it nothing more than a whim?

Let's start simple. Pool and open water are two very different water surfaces in many respects, as a result, they require various training and give a different load, if they are considered precisely as an element of physical load. In addition to swimming, pools now offer a host of other water activities for people who want to keep fit. Well, in most cases, the pool is safer than on the beaches and in open water.

Let's dwell on each point in more detail.

Benefits of swimming in the pool

What is the difference between swimming pools and open water reservoirs? First of all, you need to understand that an open body of water is moving water, therefore, there are waves there, which means that the swimmer will have to spend more effort to fulfill his norm. No wonder athletes who compete in open water, whenever possible, they are practiced not in pools, but in rivers, seas or lakes. In addition, the very technique of swimming in open water is somewhat different from swimming in the pool. And here I must say that if you only put the swimming technique under the guidance of a coach, then it’s better to first gain confidence in the error-free execution of all movements in confined water, since it will be difficult for you to control yourself in open water.

Further, you need to understand that in an open reservoir it is impossible to know the temperature of the water in advance, all the more impossible to guarantee its temperature at a given particular point in time, unlike pools. And to be honest, on average in our band you will have to swim outside in colder water than in the pool even in summer. If you keep fit and have a low percentage of body fat, then such swims in cold water can turn into unpleasant consequences. Still, if you pay attention to the same swimmers, you can easily see how much this different people by composition. If the water is warmer than you are used to, then it will be much harder to swim in it than in cool water: such water holds the body worse, and it has a completely different muscle work.

If you go to the pool not to swim, but to do water aerobics or other physical activity, then for the summer period you will have to, leaving the pool in the summer, replace this load with another one comparable to swimming. At the same time, it should be understood that nothing similar can be found, since by itself water environment has unique qualities that allow you to create resistance and develop a muscular corset without loading the joints and minimizing injuries. Nothing else works like that. In addition, water unloads the spine.

It is also important to understand that if a doctor prescribed you a lesson in the pool, then it is also better not to experiment with open water, since the effect may not be the most expected. Let me remind you again: in open water, the work of the body is different.

Children's leisure in the pool

Another part of the overall development that is taking place in the pools these days is baby swimming. Of course, you can also take a child to the river to swim in the summer, but here you should be aware that you are unlikely to be able to be a coach for a child and conduct classes in a comprehensive manner, correctly developing swimming skills and reasonable behavior on the water. So it is important for the child not to interrupt such activities for a long time, so as not to forget the skills already acquired. And do not forget that the child in the pool works, learns discipline and overcomes himself.

In this regard, another question arises - security. Going to the beach with a child, we, of course, follow him, but children who can swim are usually not afraid of water. And if a child who constantly goes to the pool remembers the safety rules, since the coach is working on this as well, since they are regularly repeated in the pool, then during a long break the temptation to break them will be very great, especially when they see how their peers frolic .

The second danger is the problem of the bottom. Let's be honest, unlike pools, the bottom of rivers and lakes is not cleaned as often and certainly not as thoroughly. Broken bottles, incomprehensible plastic parts, and just sharp stones, sharpened by water, which is constantly working on it.

epidemiological situation. The water in our rivers and lakes sometimes leaves much to be desired. But a huge number of people are not stopped in the summer even by official orders and the closure of beaches, although such work has become common for sanitary services, to say nothing of how easily we forget about this danger if swimming is allowed. And these are adults. What to say about children? Yes, and the ecological situation in large cities is not always happy, but water is one of the first to react to the unfavorable general atmosphere.

So, after everything described above, you can decide for yourself whether you need pools in the summer. At the same time, one should not forget that a beach holiday in the summer is useful not only for water procedures, but also for sunbathing and playing on the beach. fresh air, which are just as beneficial to the body as swimming. And this rest works differently, but no worse than any other.
