Water-filled float how it works. Sbirulino float: correct installation of equipment and fishing technique. Asp ball

Homemade water-filled float from the hospital

Visiting the hospital more often is useful. It's a joke. And yet, on one of these trips, I drew attention to the containers for shoe covers. A small transparent rounded box with a colored tight-fitting lid reminded me of something. But what? So this is a real water-filled float! A little tweaking is all that's needed.

In the transparent body of the container in the center (it is easy to determine by the technological influx), carefully make a hole with an awl or other suitable tool.

Water float. Preparing the ring hole

We twist a ring from a thin wire for threading fishing line. You can, for example, use a paper clip. Editor's note: it's still better to use stainless steel wire.

Water float. Paper clip ring

We screw the twisted ring into the hole made in the transparent body of our future home-made water-filled float. The connection can be glued to increase the strength of the connection and improve water resistance.

Water float. Ring mounting

From the inside of the transparent body on a twisted wire, we clamp an ordinary lead shot with pliers. In this way, we pre-load the water-filled float so that it takes the correct stable position in the water. Pre-loading will also allow you to cast a rig with a water-filled float, without adding water to it, for a sufficient distance.

Water float. Mounting the internal load

It remains only to put on the cap, and the float is ready

Homemade water-filled floats from shoe covers containers are ready

Depending on the fishing conditions and the tasks that the angler sets for himself, you can additionally load a water-filled float. Just remove the cap and add some water.

The lids of the containers are painted in different colors, which allows us, having the necessary stock, to use the lid that will be better visible in specific weather or other conditions. The lids are quite large and therefore they are clearly visible when fishing in the current with a long vacation.

I use such a homemade water-filled float for catching fish that feed near the surface or in the water column. I use the leash in such a rig without a load, with a natural supply of bait. The bait is lowered into the water slowly under own weight or plays in the current, and the fish takes such a bait more willingly and boldly, since it does not feel the weight of the sinker.

Roach, bleak, and chub or perch are also caught. Because of the transparent body, a home-made water-filled float from a container for shoe covers does not scare away fish and, at the same time, registers bites even of medium-sized individuals well. Good luck to everyone on fishing!

    Water filled floats and sbirulino

I don’t know if it was worth highlighting it as a separate topic, it seems to me that not many people are fond of it. But I ran into a water-filled tank about four years ago, bought it and had it lying with me for probably half a year, until I tried it when catching bleak on Selyava. The fish was quite large (for bleak) and the tackle proved to be working. Bug, and large roach jumped, tried to catch this tackle on every fishing trip. Then, quite a lot of information about sbirulino appeared in many Russian magazines. it can also be made floating and neutral and sinking. By the way, having filled it completely with water, I caught a scavenger on the M. Sea, I saw bites by a nod, and the tackle turned out to be slowly sinking, planning to the bottom. I tried Sbirulino on Pripyat and, in general, he also showed himself not bad, plus you can use small turntables with it. Well, that's enough big size c.p. it’s pretty good to use it when fishing for pike in shallow water - a bubble floats on the water. True, then it was hooked by one ear with a carabiner with a swivel. In general, fishing is quite interesting. it somehow) - all the same, all bites occur on the surface and in plain sight ... and this is very beautiful ...

I use mostly flies. I catch bleak, roach, rudd.
With small wobblers and turntables, it is also fun to catch an eye.

Yes, the tackle is quite universal - you put a thin leash and a couple of maggots on a small hook and a tackle like a float; on a leash a small spinner and already kind of like spinning; Well, if instead of a leash there is a floating fly fishing undergrowth with a fly, then something similar to fly fishing turns out, but still, this tackle probably has more from a float, as a child on the river, remember how they caught bleak: they took a light float and without sinker on a fly .... Although if you take sinking or neutral sbirulino, then the tackle is already akin to spinning, and the sbirulino already acts as a load .... Thank you Azyrynga for the idea, I’ll try this season, by the way, I read somewhere about catching carp on top in hot weather ....

I think Temka should be renamed, divided into two: "Catching on sbirulino" and "Catching on a bulk float" (or something like that). Although the bulk float itself is a type of float, maybe not create a separate topic?

I myself caught only on sbirulino, when it was necessary to cast the bait with a light back. "Not a predator" has not caught yet. The match will also go well. In any case, it is impossible to classify sbirulino as a float, because the bite is fixed not by the float, but by the rod.

This is just the same with. plays the role of a float. And the question is how V.P. and S. to classify is rather controversial. After all, it is difficult to find the one who first came up with the idea of feeding the bait using a transparent bubble or silicone ... and find out exactly how he wanted to use this tackle initially, it is just as unrealistic now to find the one who first started using spinning for throwing a donkey....

Interesting things happen with catching carp and grass carp on top. In one pond, cupid only takes it on top, and even if you bring a nozzle under the nose of a carp, it’s a complete ignore. On the other, it's the other way around. On the third, no one wants to take it from above - only from the bottom. Until the end, I did not understand the reasons. Maybe someone has experience? I would refer sbirulino to spinning weights, and not to floats. Even in the case of a floating one, it is still not a float, since you fix a bite not on it, but on a floating bait, fishing line or rod tip. So I vote for referring this type of fishing to spinning. I have been fishing with sbirulino for the last couple of seasons for almost half of the spinning time. I use slow-sinking options with flies for catching bleak, roach, rudd. There were also experiments with perch and pike. And a friend caught crucian with me, though for maggots.
If I didn't misunderstand anything, then the author of the article enters the BRIC forum. The boundary between spinning and fly fishing is erased ... by a float! - . Give him a word...

    FLOAT WATER FILLER

The water-filled float is designed for casting very light baits with spinning. It is actively used both for carp fishing and for any type of fishing on float rod.
The advantage of a water-filled float is that it performs two functions - as a sinker and as a float. Compared with a conventional float, it is more visible and more comfortable. The ATEMI float is made of high quality shockproof and shatterproof plastic.

Let's create a "Lead Weight" topic and argue about what kind of fishing this topic is related to!

As a way of fishing, sbirulino is a kind of spinning no matter what rods you use. If, for example, you throw a feeder with a jig rod - what is it? - jig spinning?
Like a subject, sbirulino maybe sbirulino(if used for the intended purpose), and float(if, for example, you throw it with floating a piece of loaf and wait until it will not show that the loaf has already been eaten and the fish is on the hook), and you can also poke around with this thing in your ears.
Sbirulino is a load. Spinning load. Allowing you to throw a very light bait to the required distance, and at the same time not dragging it (bait) instantly to the bottom. It is difficult for an orthodox floater who is used to the fact that a load is a load in order to quickly drown the bait (bait, nozzle), it is difficult to imagine that the load can be both floating and slow-sinking, and you don’t even want to understand what for it is necessary.
Sbirulino is called a float by those who either have little idea of what it is and what it is about, or those who do not want to go into clarifying the essence of the issue, such as "you don't need it anyway."
A water-filled float can also be either just a large bite signaling float, or serve as a spinning sinker, i.e. be used as sbirulino.

If floaters want to have a separate topic about how they use water-filled floats (and sbirulino) instead of more or less standard floats in their fishing, then why not have such a topic in the "Float fishing" section.
And if we talk about SBIRULINO, then we need a topic in the "Spinning" section. You can also create a separate section. (As, for example, we have highlighted "UL-Spinning").

The float also in some way allows you to cast the bait. There are loaded match floats, what can they be attributed to? open water I dedicate to spinning. Yes, earlier, before the meat grinders, from Nevskaya, in order to throw a light spinner or a miniature oscillator, they put an olive of lead or a load (it seemed to be called spinning) But I think that sbirulino should first be considered as a way to feed the bait, and the fact that it can act both as a load and as a float, it simply proves its versatility, because a bottom catcher, catching a feeder on a sinking sbirulino with a thin leash on a bunch of bloodworms or a pair of maggots, remains a bottom catcher, and a spinning player who puts a sinking briar and a twister on an offset and starts the whole thing over with a slow pull-up, remains a spinning player .......: 102:

even in match fishing, where the float is used to deliver the equipment to the point of fishing, the float is the main bite signaling device, and the presentation of the nozzle is carried out due to the load on the fishing line. In addition (and most importantly), in all types of float fishing, everything is built around bait and bait, that is, part of float fishing is the concentration and management of a flock of fish. That is why bottom fishing, such as feeder and picker, is much closer to float fishing than sbirulino, despite the fact that sbirulino is a float (although I would say - a floating sinker).

I agree, a sbirulin is a free-willed hunter, something akin to spinning, you have to look for fish all the time, and when you find it, move as it wants, the flock leaves - you determine where and move after it, if you didn’t make a clearing - you look for a new one. But I had a moment: after the rafting along Pripyat we went up the canal to the Mikash - they were waiting for a car from Minsk to pick us up, and I took the opportunity to catch bleak, and it was there the size of a lake. You need to share your experience and maybe then the floater will pick up the spinning, or the spinning player will attach the bribe and the leash with maggot and start catching in the wiring. .... I used to also see interest in spinning alone, but I tried it - you can (and interestingly) catch fish not only with spinning, but before that I was skeptical about the float somehow .. But I saw in Sburulino tackle something similar to spinning and thanks to her began to devote more time to the float or feeder. After all, sometimes a predator is generally silent - you take off the baubles, you cling to the v.p. or collect and catch the white. Do not swim ashore to drink tea: 6: And it is caught on a spinning stick (with a small test) no worse than on special rods .... So, as one cat said, "GUYS, LET'S CATCH TOGETHER !!!": wink:

On raubichs I caught bleak on sbirulin. It helped a lot when the bleak moved far away. True, the float is not water-filled. There are also water-filled ones in the arsenal, but have not yet used them. Tried floating and neutral buoyancy. All are oblong. Quil a couple of round bombs, and they are still in the chest. There is an idea for the fat bleak season to combine a floating sbirulina with a spiral feeder of minimum capacity - wind the wire along the rod of the float .. There is a situation in the spring - a cruel OP, and bleak splashes on a distant cordon, and does not fit any closer. So I tried sbirulina a couple of times - it helps. From a slingshot, it’s not very easy to shoot bleak bait. And if you shoot, then you need to throw it there again and for sure. But a small amount of bait directly on the float solves this problem, IMHO. I'll try it in the spring and report back.

In principle, if the bait is of the consistency of plasticine, then you can simply stick around a float or collect and throw it, it should work in theory: 102:

In different parts of the world, fishing enthusiasts have invented similar gear. In Italy, this equipment was called sbirulino, in Russia - bombarda. As spinning fishing has become more and more developed, this gear rig has been actively used for spinning fishing.

There are currently several different variations on this theme, but all of them, in essence, perform the same task: to cast the bait as far as possible and at the same time control the wiring with the help of a float, send it to the desired depth.

In general, putting an equal sign between sbirulino and bombarda will not be very true. The bombard is part of the sbirulino montage.

Sbirulino is a rig that combines elements of fly fishing, spinning, float. From the float, this tackle received floating properties, and from the sinker - weight. Probably, the point is the conservatism of the fishermen, otherwise how can one explain the fact that such an inexpensive and simple tackle does not enjoy the popularity it deserves.

The main function of the float is not to signal a bite, but to deliver the bait to its destination. Those who fished with spinning know that it is impossible to cast a light fly or other weightless bait at a distance of 70-80 meters. It is necessary to attach a load that will give acceleration.

For successful fishing, such a long cast gives a great advantage. You can cast your lure up to 20 meters away from a cautious fish and calmly lead a small fly or silicone worm near it without fear of scaring it away.

And the second positive thing about using this rig is that, using various options, the weight of the sliding sinker, you can make the wiring at the required depth. On reservoirs overgrown with grass, sbirulino is tackle No. 1; it can be carried out without hooks in labyrinths of algae.

Sbirulino floats

When fishing for spinning, the following situation is known to many: it seems to have tried all the baits, spent at different depths, tried several methods of wiring, the result is negative. This is where a bomber can come to the rescue.

Classic rig

The sbirulino float is made in the form of an oval shape made of plastic or unsinkable wood - balsa. Inside the float there is a plastic tube, the edges of which go beyond the borders of the sbirulino.

The installation is as follows: the main fishing line is passed through the tube so that the thickened part is facing the hook. Then a stopper is put on, they can serve as a piece of gum or a bead. Then a carbine. The stopper will not allow the carabiner knot to slip inside the float. A leash with any bait is fastened to the carabiner through a system of swivels, two or three. Several swivels, this is a necessary condition for installation. This clasp prevents the line from twisting.

The length range of the leash is very large: from a short 15-30 centimeters to 3 meters. But the length of the leash is never longer than the rod itself. Fishing in surface layers involves the use of a long leash, it is advisable to use a short leash in the bottom layer. The size of the leash is also affected by the type of fish, for predators - a short one, peaceful fish is caught on a long one.

To cast a long leash, you still need to get used to it. The bombard itself slides freely along the line. The bombard has an optimal aerodynamic shape, which allows you to make casts with high accuracy, plumage like a dart is attached to it.

Due to the streamlined shape, the bombard flies well even against the wind.

Varieties

Depending on the configuration and weight of the float-bombard itself, the sbirulino equipment is divided into groups, the number of which is constantly increasing, and new options are being invented. For example, there are bulk floats.

Balda

One of the options for such equipment can be considered a summer "balda", successfully used on Siberian rivers and invented long before its Italian counterparts. This cone-shaped tackle is made of wood and weighted with lead. Then, instead of wood, craftsmen began to use foam or wine corks, gluing them together and turning them into a cone. Usually flies are hooked on the leash from behind.

Kinds

All bombards are divided into three main types: floating, sinking, slowly sinking. This is obtained by distributing the load over the body of the float.

  • If the load is located at the bottom, it will sink into the water quickly, a sinking float.
  • If the load is distributed evenly along the entire length - slowly sinking, works in the middle horizons.
  • The weight located at the edges allows the float to stay on the water - floating.

There are several more options for the location of the cargo, these are intermediate positions. It is clear that such diversity is necessary for catching different horizons. Branded floats indicate which class the bombard belongs to.

On the video you can see how to improve the tackle for catching the bombard:

rod

Of course, such tackle can be used on any rod, but there are also special ones, fitted specifically for sbirulino. These rods are very similar to match rods. Consist of three parts. They have o-rings. But they are more powerful, since the weight of sbirulino can reach a weight of 100 grams. Telescopic rods for fishing with such equipment are gaining popularity.

On the video you can see what are the ways to use the bombard:

But if fishing is carried out by spinning, then, of course, the test is selected according to the weight of the bait, and since the bombard does not create difficulties during wiring and loads the blank only when casting, then the upper limit of the test can be as close as possible to the weight of the bait.

Spinning Casting Technique - All movements during casting should be smooth.

Combination with feeder

The ways of using the bombard can be different, for example, this is true if the bottom is covered with silt and any feeder will sink in a pillow of algae. In this case, you need to reduce the weight of the bait so that it does not sink and throw a bombard to increase the weight.

The composition of lightweight feeder bait may include breadcrumbs, crumbs from dry cookies. But the most important thing to make this bait more airy is not to overdo it with water. Sometimes the fish do not need a lot of food, so it is advisable to use feeder gear without a feeder. Only feeder and bombard.

Combination of feeder feeder and bombarda

Lures

Lures can be used in a variety of ways. There is a lot of room for creativity here: wobblers, flies, silicone. Not only artificial, but also natural components can serve as baits - maggot, worm, larvae, corn, live bait, grasshopper, and so on ad infinitum. The bait must be 20 times lighter than the bombard.

What kind of fish to catch

This simple gear has extraordinary possibilities. It all started with, which had to be obtained in mountain rivers or lakes. Then gradually this equipment began to be used for catching another predatory fish. Well, almost any peaceful fish can be caught by her.

With this rig, you can reach the perch in the cauldron. When there is a perch fight, the fish takes immediately after the contact of the bait with water, if the wiring is continued further, then it is possible that another one will land. If you want to catch it in July, put a small twister or a small spinner on a floating sbirulino.

In dense thickets of grass and mud, pike can only be caught with a bombard with a bait, a fly - “non-hooking”. Streamlined tackle easily bypasses obstacles, allowing you to lead the bait slowly. In such waters, pike can be anywhere, and sbirulino allows you to throw flies or streamers far, and this can increase the number of bites. As baits, you can use fish skin, cut into strips, edible rubber, foam fish. It has been noticed that the pike reacts not only to baits, it is also attracted by the bombard itself.

Perch and asp are taken with weak wiring or on a pause.

On the video you can see how fishing is going on interesting:

Even a beginner will not get bored with a barbarda.

In the tackle box there should always be 2-3 bombards of different buoyancy, and colors: dark and white. Dark is useful in case of fog or haze.

When buying a bombard, be sure to pay attention to the reliability of fastening and the strength of the antenna. The body itself should be without chips, otherwise there is a high probability of fishing line hooks.

Folk sign: If an experienced fisherman came across with the words: “Today the fish should peck well!” - there will be no bite.

Fishing is essentially just a hobby, although for some it is a job. And yet, most often, fishermen go to the river or lakes for their pleasure, for their recreation. This is a great way to relax and unwind after a hard week and put your thoughts in order.

Each fishing, in principle, remains unchanged. All the same fishing rods, lures, floats. Even neighbors-fishermen most often remain unchanged.
Fishing is for some even a kind of entertainment, excitement. After all, you never know how many fish will fall on the hook today.

How to make sure that your favorite pastime and hobby - fishing - does not turn into a dull, familiar activity? How to dilute the fishing process and add a little creativity and fun to it?

And the answer is actually very simple - you can make an unusual water-filled float. You can make such a float with your own hands, spending the very minimum of time on it. The float is extremely easy to manufacture, and it is made from the most common material - from a transparent container (hospital shoe covers are stored in such containers). This container has a colored lid. The color of the lid is up to you. The main thing is that such a float pleases the eye and gives even more pleasure from fishing.

Such a float is made as follows.
Make a small hole in the transparent part of the container. An awl or other thin but sharp object will help you with this.

In the next step, you will need a very small piece of thin wire. From such a wire you need to make a ring for fishing line.

The ring made of wire must be installed in the hole that was made earlier in the transparent container body. At the installation site, you can also use a reliable adhesive to strengthen the connection.

Inside the transparent part of the container, you need to fix the lead pellet on the twisted wire. This is done with the help of pliers. This will serve as the so-called loading of the water-filled float. This will help the float hold correct position in water.

It remains only to put on a funny bright color cap, and the float is ready. You can get ready to go fishing.

All more people tend to get away from the bustle of the city, and sit with a fishing rod in nature. And since the interest of the population in fishing rises, then manufacturers of fishing products supply markets with the latest elements of equipment and accessories. One of these innovations is a water-filled float (ball).

What is a water-filled float

A device called a water-filled float or ball is designed to deliver various light baits to the fishing site. A ball with a diameter of 3.0-3.5 cm consists of two hemispheres, securely fastened to each other. The weight of the entire float depends on the amount of water collected in it.

Such devices are mainly kept on the very surface of the reservoir, therefore, additional shipment is required for their deepening. By unloading, the fishermen achieve the delivery of a water-filled float to the desired depth.

Anglers agree that water-filled balls do not scare away fish so much because they have a configuration similar to a fish's air bladder. The color of the float, as a rule, is either natural or completely colorless.

Ears are mounted on the sides of the ball for attaching gear, and through holes are made in the body, which must be closed with rubber plugs.

How to attach a water balloon to a fishing line

In principle, it is very simple to mount the tackle: we tie the main fishing line by one ear in any way. It is still better to use a carabiner for these purposes, only you first need to check whether the tackle is threaded into the loop. The option with a carabiner is perfect when you plan to fish different bottom layers. Thus, you can quickly replace this model of float equipment with a conventional one (and vice versa).

A leash is attached to the other ear of the float in a loop-to-loop manner. The thickness of the lead line should be small: from 0.14-0.18, because basically such tackle is used for catching fish that are not large in size. Depending on the size of the fish, select the length of the leashes from 0.5 to 1.5 m.

In the area of the hooks, the tackle is loaded with several 0.2 gram lead pellets. So you can more evenly distribute the weights along the entire length of the leash. Hooks can be used in a variety of patterns.

The process of fishing on a water-filled float

In principle, there are no very big differences between ordinary fishing or fishing with water-filled floats, except for the most significant: the ball will need to be filled with water before casting. To do this, the side plugs are opened, the tackle is immersed deep into the reservoir, and filled with liquid to the required level. At the end of the procedure, you will have to tightly close the holes in the case with rubber stoppers.

The weight of the equipment will depend on the amount of water poured in, and, of course, the casting distance. At the moment the float touches the surface of the water, a loud slap will be heard. The fish will blur from the noise (in some cases vice versa), but after some time it will swim back to the place of fishing.

The larger the volume of liquid inside the vessel, the deeper the float will sink into the water. Another advantage of a large mass is the reduction of windage when casting. This means that in a strong wind the ball will fly in the right direction, and it will not be blown away by the wind, which is a tangible advantage over conventional gear.

When fishing on rivers, the float will be carried downstream, and the fisherman will only need to gradually bleed the line on the reel. On lakes, you can sometimes move the bait while playing with the fishing line in different directions.

Although the “bulb” may seem rude, this is not entirely true - the tackle signals very well about a bite. The principle of its operation: the fish touches the leash, the movement is transmitted upwards, and circles begin to diverge in the water. By their size, an experienced fisherman can recognize whether the fish is interested in the bait, and even with a high probability is able to determine the weight of the fish.

How to make a water-filled float at home

To prepare this gear, we need:

  • tennis ball, or any other rounded plastic case;
  • plastic straw (for example, from juice);
  • lead weight.

We melt the plastic rod from one end so that a rim forms on it. We drill the ball (or with a heated awl, as in the picture) in the center of both halves so that the diameter of the hole is slightly smaller than the diameter of the straw.

Then, we put on it a pre-drilled lead pellet. We put one part of the case on the tip of the straw, and move the pellet on the rod close to the plastic shell (the pellet should fix the lid from the inside).

We also fix the second end of the case on a straw and heat it from the outside. That's all. It remains to mount the equipment of the fishing rod.
