We are for trolling in Belarus

I do not see the logic of those who oppose trolling. Their assessments lead not forward, but backward, to chariot riding and hunting with bows and arrows. Why do you buy twisted spinning rods, the same wobblers and unique bait mixtures? Catch with a nut stick for a worm and a dragonfly - and the catch is in your hands!

Do you like to sit for hours with a fishing rod in your hand? And I - to race (not very fast, of course). And it is breathtaking that the fish caught up with me and is already on the hook.

Trolling does not necessarily lead to big catch. Still, this is not a network, although it can be empty. With this method, the unpredictability of fishing is preserved in full. And yes, it's the same for everyone. The only difference is that the process is faster. Agree, deals with conscience, including the weight of the catch, is a vice of the angler's personality, not the method.

Trolling is called lazy fishing. But it is still unknown who has more tension - who sits in a familiar place, risking nothing, or those who move along with the fishing line, ready to overcome unexpected hooks at any moment that threaten to deprive you of quite expensive lures.

Suppose the echo sounder shows a pike at a depth of 10-15 meters, almost at the bottom, on a dump. If not a troll, how to get it? And I will make a maneuver on a motorboat at a distance of 30 meters, and my lure will go straight to the pike.

Each method of fishing has disadvantages. and trolls are too catchy, fishermen with donks take up a lot of space on the shore, and ice “knights of stakes” even more so. Perhaps only penguins with mormyshkas have nothing to reproach

Trolling is a very lucrative way of fishing when it comes to zander. So, we dedicate the weekend to this method of fishing, which is carried out on a watercraft.

Today, finding a reservoir where intensive is allowed is not a problem. But not every one of them has pike perch. Fortunately, there are enough of them in the Naroch region. From the documents we need a ticket of a member of the Belarusian Public Association of Hunters and Fishermen, which gives the right to engage in intensive fishing methods. In addition, if the reservoir belongs to the national park, you should take care of purchasing a ticket.

For fishing, we choose a boat under a motor capable of pushing the vessel at low speed for a long time. Internal combustion engines produced in the USSR coped poorly with this. An echo sounder is highly desirable. We will use it not only as a depth gauge to determine promising places, but also for constant visual contact with the bottom topography. No matter what anyone says, trolling is far from being as simple as it might seem. For good result it is not enough to put the rod in the holder and ride on the pond. Especially when it comes to perch. This pike can attack the wobbler, which will be even a meter above it. With fangs, such a number will not work. You have to constantly work with spinning, stretching the bait at the very bottom. And it is not even in promising places. Inevitable and hooks. Therefore, we add a cut to the must-have list. Losing an expensive and even catchy wobbler is an unaffordable luxury.

Many readers, I am sure, are now waiting for a list of effective baits. He won't. And not because I'm too lazy or sorry to declassify my favorites. The names of working wobblers have long been known to everyone. Any self-respecting manufacturer has a line of zander lures. The Internet is full of information. But the fact is that each of them works only in its own conditions. Let me explain. The super catchy "Japanese" with a depth of 4 meters is completely useless at depths of 6 meters or more. And vice versa: a deep-water wobbler here will dig the bottom and get hooked on the first pass. To some extent, the depth of the wobbler can be adjusted by releasing the braid and even its thickness. But these possibilities are not unlimited.

How to determine the optimal release of the bait? I usually do this: I lower or throw a wobbler nearby and start moving. When he starts to poke a spatula into the bottom, I reel up the coil to feel a clear working vibration giving into my hand. And then I remove another meter or two of cords. In order not to do this procedure every time, I strongly advise you to purchase either a cartoon reel with a line counter or a multi-colored cord, every ten meters of which are painted in a certain color.

The second point is the shape and size of the bait. Small wobblers with an elongated body, resembling a bleak or minnow, are suitable. Even trophy zander greedily attacks baits 4-5 centimeters long.

For fans of certain brands, I’ll separately note that in my collection there were penny “Chinese” who easily made super-technological and expensive Japanese “megabasses”. There is another problem with manufacturers from the Middle Kingdom: the repeatability of copies is very low. Out of three completely identical baits, only one can work.

Well, in conclusion, I will describe one equipment that can help out when catching zander at great depths, even if you do not have deep-sea wobblers. To the end of the cord we knit a triple swivel. To him, a leader made of fishing line for cargo and a leader made of fluorocarbon for bait (the second should be twice as long as the first). I do not recommend using a cord here: it will be terribly confused. The leash for the load should be less durable than for the wobbler - in this case, if the load sits among the stones, we will be able to save the wobbler. The weight of the load when fishing at a depth of up to 8 meters can be 30-40 grams. One more thing: I do not advise throwing this design. It's better to just lower it to the bottom and leave on the boat. Checked - it works!

From May 31 to July 1, there is a ban on fishing for common catfish in the fishing grounds of the Minsk region. A little earlier, it will end in the Gomel and Brest regions - on June 20.

Increased catch of catfish, including poaching, has led to a significant decrease in its numbers. Since 1981, at the suggestion of scientists, European (ordinary) catfish has been included in the Red Book of the Republic of Belarus as a species of fish that is greatly declining in number and subject to full protection. Thanks to the prohibition measures, the populations of this species of fish were gradually restored. At present, the European catfish is removed from the Red Book of the Republic of Belarus.

Illegal harvesting of one catfish during the ban will cost violators 12 base units. They will also be subject to an administrative fine of up to 50 basic units. And if the damage from illegal fishing is 100 or more basic units, a criminal case may be initiated.

How does the new edition of the rules for fishing and fishing, which comes into force on June 26, differ from the previous one - in force since 2010? The changes affected both ordinary fishermen and the "water" business. We will not touch business - we will tell you what you need to pay attention to for those for whom fishing is a hobby.

Learn the terms

There is no poaching anymore - there is "illegal fishing". The term has been brought into line with the Criminal Code and the Code of Administrative Offenses. Previously, poaching was called fishing in violation of the rules, while illegal fishing is “fishing without proper permission, either at prohibited times and (or) dates, or in prohibited places, or prohibited tools, or prohibited methods and techniques.

What else is new in the wording? Bagrenie is called a prohibited method of fishing, the fishing control authorities are replaced by "state bodies exercising control over the management of fishing and fishing", and these are:

Remember spring and other bans

spring ban fishing is a traditional and inevitable misfortune for fans of fishing. As before, it will be introduced during the spawning period. But if earlier a single period for the introduction of the ban was established throughout Belarus - from April 1 to May 30, now it can be different in different regions. What can you do: the climate has changed. Here are the new dates:

Brest and Gomel regions - from March 20 to May 18
Minsk, Mogilev and Grodno regions - from April 1 to May 30
Vitebsk region - from April 10 to June 8

Recreational fishing will still be allowed during the days of the ban. But now anglers need to meet the following criteria. You can fish with one rod with one hook or one spinning rod equipped with artificial bait, with one single, or double, or triple hook, during daylight hours from the shore (without entering the water) or from ice, from artificial structures, except for prohibited fishing methods . The latter include bugling, the use of a gunshot or pneumatic weapon, tools, the principle of which is based on the use of an electromagnetic field, ultrasound and others. As for additional prohibitions, they also remained and even changed. So, it is forbidden to catch pike from March 1 to April 15, and in the Vitebsk region - from March 9 to April 25. As usual, the situation is similar: for the Brest and Gomel regions, the ban will be in effect from May 19 to June 20 and from November 1 to March 31, for other regions of Belarus - from May 31 to July 1 and from November 1 to March 31.

Attention: a new ban on zander fishing. For the sake of preserving the population, it is forbidden to catch it from April 15 to May 30.

Don't forget to keep clean

For amateur fishermen, one of the mandatory requirements enshrined in the rules is the obligatory observance of cleanliness in water bodies. In other words, the angler is “obligated to maintain proper sanitary conditions fishing grounds».

What does it mean? Do not leave garbage on the shores or on the ice, do not allow other pollution of fishing grounds, damage to signs, shields, notices installed near fishing grounds, in water protection zones and coastal strips.

Count your fishing gear

The updated rules have reduced the number of simultaneously used fishing gear of one or various kinds with a total number of hooks up to 5 per angler. For comparison: earlier their number could reach up to 10.

At the same time, the quotas for catching fish from the stock of fishing grounds have not changed. Maximum - 5 kg of fish per angler per day. At the same time, you need to stay no closer than 50 m from the designated fishing gear. This innovation is caused by the ever-emerging conflicts between amateur fishermen and fishermen.

Remember the important "little things"

The territories exposed to radioactive contamination as a result of the catastrophe at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant are prohibited for fishing. Including zones of subsequent resettlement, from which the population was resettled and on which a checkpoint regime was established.

Watercourses of the fourth category (up to 5 km long) have been added to the list of types of fishing grounds.

When organizing paid recreational fishing, there should be preferential payment terms for veterans of the Great Patriotic War, disabled people of groups I and II, minors under 16 years of age, as well as local residents.

The term "intensive fishing methods" no longer exists. In the process of paid fishing, the allowed total number of hooks per person has been reduced from 11–20 to 6–10. In winter, this is especially true: zherlitsy, rates, etc. super popular during this period. At the same time, the procedure for trolling (or trolling) and spearfishing in the reserve fund has been simplified. Previously, the “path” meant a method of catching predatory fish species on a lure, wobbler or other artificial bait moving behind a swimming facility. From now on, it is "a method of fishing in which the bait or bait is towed using vessels, including those with engines." These methods of fishing can only be carried out by members of the Belarusian Society of Hunters and Fishermen.

Persons protecting the leased fishing grounds are given the right to stop vehicles in these territories, inspect things, Vehicle, fishing gear, fishery products, as well as personal searches of persons who have committed offenses.

In accordance with the current Rules for Fisheries and Fisheries of the Republic of Belarus, the right to free recreational fishing in such ways as:

fishing with the use of recreational fishing gear with a total number of hooks from 6 to 10 per angler;
fishing on the track from boats with engines. When fishing on a track from boats with engines, it is allowed to use one lure or bait per angler;
spearfishing in the stock of fishing grounds, with the exception of fishing grounds, the list of which is approved by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food in agreement with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, is carried out by fishermen who are members of the republican state-public association "Belarusian Society of Hunters and Fishermen" ( BOOR).

In addition, in the fund of fishing grounds provided for rent (use) for fishing, during daylight hours, recreational fishing can be organized by tenants using the above methods.

In any case, even members of the BOOR need to clarify the places for fishing with the local executive body.

I am not a member of the BOOR. Can I fish with 6 to 10 hooks, spearfishing, line fishing and where?

You can, but only in rented fishing grounds where paid amateur fishing is organized and if you have a permit for this fishing method purchased from the tenant of the fishing grounds.

In accordance with the Rules for Fisheries and Fisheries, it is prohibited:

spearfishing by fishermen who do not have an underwater hunter's license and (or) using scuba gear and other self-contained breathing devices, and (or) using spearguns and (or) pistols firing a harpoon with a tip of more than five teeth, as well as mining fish using underwater guns and (or) pistols or other tools for spearfishing from the shore or from small boats;
amateur fishing with the use of piercing fishing tools, lighting devices, firearms or pneumatic weapons (with the exception of underwater guns and (or) pistols), fishing tools, the principles of which are based on the use of an electromagnetic field, ultrasound, and other fishing tools, the use of which is not permitted these Rules;
from railway and other bridges, dams, at locks, pumping stations, other hydraulic structures, in respect of which restrictions and prohibitions on economic and other activities are established, and at a distance of less than 50 meters on both sides of the boundaries of these technical structures, with the exception of competitions By sport fishing;
from ships at night;
with the use of double and triple hooks on fishing gear without bait, natural or artificial bait.

For the extraction of fish or other aquatic animals without proper permission, or at prohibited times or periods, or in prohibited places, or by prohibited tools, or by prohibited methods, as well as an attempt on such extraction, liability is provided for under Part 1 of Art. 15.35 of the Code of the Republic of Belarus on Administrative Offenses, the sanction of which provides for a fine in the amount of 20 to 50 basic units, and in case of public danger, criminal liability arises under Art. 281 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus, the sanction of which entails punishment in the form of a fine, arrest, restriction of freedom or imprisonment.

Specialists of the State Inspectorate for the Protection of Fauna and Flora under the President of the Republic of Belarus studied international experience in the organization and conditions for the implementation of spearfishing, in particular in the Baltic countries.

So, in Lithuania, out of three thousand reservoirs, spearfishing is allowed only in seven, and you must have a fishing license. In Estonia underwater hunters obligatory purchase fishing card. Within five days after the expiration of its validity period, they must report on the catch, otherwise they will be denied the next time the card is issued. Spearfishing can only be carried out on two lakes - Kuremaa and Saadjärv. It costs two euros for one day. It is curious that in Estonia, if you are lucky enough to catch a fish with a plastic tag near the dorsal fin (it contains data on the type and size of the fish when it was introduced into the reservoir), you can send this tag, as well as a description of the caught individual (species, weight, length , time and place of catch, method of fishing) to a fish hatchery and receive 5.11 euros as a reward and good lure. In Latvia spearfishing is allowed only in water bodies, the list of which is approved by the Ministry of Agriculture. There are about 30 fishing grounds on this list.
