Comics

In the first volume of the original comic, Leonardo plays a very important role. At the beginning of the series, he is 15 years old. In early stories, he is not exactly called the leader, although he is in charge of the team. Further in the series, he openly declares his position as a leader in place of Raphael. He is the main strategist of the team.

Image Comics

In Image Comics, Leo is more violent than in Archie, but he is a fair leader and always helps the brothers. He wants to take revenge on Shredder for Hamato Yoshi, Master Splinter's teacher.

Archie Comics

In Archie, Leonardo is a kind and responsible but rather boring character. He constantly bothers the brothers with training, because of which they always suffer. In the future, Leo opens a ninja school. His top four students are Nobuko, Miles, Carmen and Bob.

Beyond comics

Animated series

Animated series 1987

In the first animated series, Leonardo is the strongest of the Turtles. As in Archie Comics, Leo loves to annoy his brothers with training and hates Shredder. He is trying with all his might to defeat Shredder and Krang. Leonardo is friendly, well-mannered and tries to help his brothers and Master Splinter in everything. In two episodes, he has an affair with the ninja girl Lotus.

Leader among brothers. He wears a blue mask and is armed with two ninjato swords. The teacher named him Leonardo in honor of the outstanding Italian scientist, painter and architect Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci. Like his brothers, he was brought up by sensei Splinter in the sewers, where he comprehended martial arts and was preparing to become the defender of the city from the Legs gang, which was led by the evil Shredder.

We can assume that he is Splinter's favorite student, as he is a very disciplined and responsible ward. He devotes all his free time to training, improves his mastery of martial arts and handling swords, and studies the strategy of seeing the battle.

Due to his devotion to the common cause of fighting evil, he is an authority among the brothers. Only with Rafael he can’t find a common language in any way, since he is very quick-tempered and does not tolerate any criticism from others, besides, Leonardo is jealous of the teacher.

In addition to strength and courage, Leonardo is distinguished by good breeding and enviable patience. He never allows himself to shout at others, he can repeat the same technique several times if one of the brothers did not understand the technique of its execution. He meditates for hours, thus developing the ability to fully focus on the goal. The greatest authority for Leo is his teacher, he constantly inherits it and even opened his own martial arts school, where he teaches everyone karate and ninjato mastery. If you are also interested in the tactics of fighting with the help of real ninja swords, Leo will reveal to you all the secrets of his skill.

The most important thing in life for Leonardo is family. For the sake of his brothers and his named father, he can even sacrifice his life, which he proved more than once by his actions. Protecting the family and the world from the machinations of the evil Shredder, Leo was on the verge of death, and only thanks to chance and the help of others, he was saved from certain death. After terrible battle, on the shell of a brave turtle there is still a terrible mark. It was Leonardo who put an end to the intrigues of the Foot gang, since their leader died from his hand.

Despite the constant employment, nothing human is alien to Leonardo. He loves to eat delicious food and watch TV. Turtle's favorite foods are pizza, fish and rice, and apples. In addition, he is credited with an affair with Shredder's daughter Krai, but whether this is true or gossip speculation is still not known.

Few children and even adults are not familiar with the popular Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Leonardo - one of the four friends of the famous cartoon, went beyond martial arts and now has become a real transformer. True, a toy, but this does not change the essence of the matter.

Leonardo Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle - Transformer of the Future

This toy set is a great gift for a little fan of the animated series. It is created primarily for an audience of boys from about 4 to 10 years old. However, there are also girls among the connoisseurs of the cartoon, and therefore, without exception, all the guys will like the transformer. The purpose of the toy is not just to take the time of the child, but to help him in the development of imagination, large and fine motor skills, thinking, logic and fantasy.

Leonardo Ninja Turtle figurine is an easy-to-assemble and disassemble hero like a construction set. Its height reaches 60 cm! However, Leonardo will appeal to his target audience not only because of the size, but also because of the quality and performance characteristics: for example, in the normal state, only the arms move in the figurine. However, if you lower Leo's head, his torso transforms into a secret conspiracy headquarters, where there is enough space for the entire team.

Where are the ninja turtles hiding? Leonardo provides shelter!

The secret place includes 8 rooms of different purposes. There is a hall for relaxation and meditation, training area with a combat platform, a computer corner, Donatello's workshop, Michelangelo's extreme skateboarding area, a dungeon for enemies, a living room and a lookout tower to keep track of unwanted guests. The house is equipped with various additional attributes. So, there is an elevator, a catapult, hidden hatches and passages, stairs, a folding ladder, a super-blaster, traps for villains and much more.

What will the child do when he receives this set? Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Leonardo and his brothers - can do a huge variety of things here: play board or video games, sleep, relax, eat their favorite pizza, practice martial arts, collect weapons and deal with enemies. This means that the child will definitely figure out how to play with the transformer, because this is a real field for fantasy!

Safety is paramount

It will be useful for parents to learn that the implementation of games with a set is absolutely not dangerous for the health of the child. The transformer is made of plastic, and if the baby is not allergic to it, then in this case the material is absolutely non-toxic, not harmful and completely approved for use. It is also convenient because it is durable, but at the same time light - if the toy falls on any part of the body, the child has the risk of injury with the very minimum probability. The product is manufactured in accordance with established standards and is certified. Do not worry about the fact that the child may accidentally swallow one of the parts of the set. Large parts will not pass into the respiratory tract of the child. Manufacturers tried to minimize the use of small elements. All the parts involved in the creation of the toy are firmly soldered together, so even if the child makes enough effort to tear off one or another part, he will not succeed.

Feedback from customers and buyers

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael have always been popular with the audience. Perhaps this explains the high demand for products related to the brand and these characters. Transformer is no exception!

It has become a widespread practice to "unpack" toys by well-known child bloggers on YouTube. In the comments to the video, you can find an exchange of opinions of young clients about the functional components of Leo, as well as conclusions about what worked out well and what was partially not brought to mind by the developers. Parents who choose a gift for their child can be sent here - there are many useful information from the first, children's mouth, which, as you know, speaks the truth.

If you want more balanced conclusions from adults, then we recommend that you turn to numerous online reviews. Moms, dads, godparents and other people sort through all the pros and cons of this product, advising him to buy or, conversely, warning against doing so.

Excursion into the history of the animated series

In addition, you can refer to the direct history of the TV show. If the child has never been particularly fond of "turtles", but you still need to stop the parental choice on something, the option to analyze the history and plot content of the cartoon is quite suitable. Then it will be possible to conclude whether the baby will like the gift.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were originally created as comic book characters. During their existence, outwardly, and, most importantly, internally, they practically did not change - unless the animation stepped forward, and with it, these comrades-in-arms "modernized" by an order of magnitude. The partially simplified names of all the heroes originate from the names of the great figures of culture and art, the humanists, who really existed during the Renaissance: Leonardo da Vinci, Donatello, Raphael Santi, Michelangelo Buonaroti. The brothers are irreconcilable fighters against evil, never discouraged, loving to play a joke on each other. Their mentor is the rat Splinter, and their main opponent is Shredder, the leader of the Foot clan.

And who is Leo?

It was Leonardo who became the transformer figure because he is loved and respected by all the ninja turtles. Leonardo is their determined and brave leader, able to make responsible decisions in right moment. There is a blue bandage on his eyes, and on the shell behind his back are 2 faithful swords (katanas, or, in the correct terminology, ninja, ninjato, ninjaken, shinobigatana). Leo is that necessary center that regulates and stabilizes such different characters of the rest of the turtles. He is also the team's chief strategist, as he is good at thinking logically and planning entire operations against enemies. Leonardo very ardently and even stubbornly, like a true warrior, follows the rules of honor and wholeheartedly devotes himself to serving for the benefit of people, to preserve law and order.

Obviously, this brave hero can become an example for every child, and therefore buying a transformer toy in the form of a Leo figure is the right decision on the part of caring and loving parents.

Against the general background of superheroes, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) stand out immediately, because their image instantly distorts the general, familiar picture, in which they look strange and even comical. But that's exactly how they were intended - a caricature of superheroes. What could be more unusual and controversial than a turtle that suddenly becomes fast, agile, strong? But this caricature suddenly went beyond the genre, grew into a separate story and became so popular that the idea had to be revised. And now this parody immediately turns into a tragedy, and the supernatural abilities of these fictional creatures into a curse. What do all other superheroes have in common? This is an opportunity to take off the costume and turn into an ordinary person, able to live a normal life, blend in with the crowd. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cannot do this: they are doomed to human feelings and their shell. They are special and they are forever. The comic, and then the cartoon "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" tells us the story of unusual teenagers who cannot be like everyone else. Here is such a completely life story under the fictional shell of a superhero. That is why the cartoon "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" so appealed to young viewers, because they see themselves in the teenage turtles.

"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles": characters

It would seem that four identical superheroes, who are all turtles, can differ. In theory, they should all be the same person. But the creators managed to make them surprisingly different, characteristic and memorable. Even in comics, where the characters are depicted in black and white, they cannot be confused with each other, and even more so, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoons made them different, allowing them to move and speak. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoons created characters so alive that even with their clumsy appearance, the Turtles had a huge mass of fans. What changed ordinary turtles, turning them into superheroes? Mutation. The original version of the mutation, repeatedly altered in the films, was radioactive waste in the sewers, which Splinter the rat and the Turtles got into by accident. After the changes occurred, Splinter, who, as a rat, watched the training of a martial artist and his master, Hamato Yoshi (this version was also repeatedly changed in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series), began to train the Turtles in the art of ninjutsu and replaced his father. Having matured, the Turtles begin to use their skill to fight evil in their city.

Weapons of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Weapons Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a very real weapon of the ninja and samurai. And it doesn't have supernatural forces, except for those that were originally included in it.

Leonardo uses 2 Ninjato swords. If you think about it, the choice of weapons of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles can hardly be called accidental. Leonardo is a leader, which is why his weapons are swords. Swords in martial arts are not just a means of killing or protecting, they are the soul of a fighter, the most precious thing he has, a shrine. The samurai believed that the sword was endowed with magical powers that could eradicate evil and drive away evil spirits. Rafael fights with two sai daggers. The dagger sai looks like a trident. This weapon is very often used as an improvised weapon in karate. Sai can be used for thrusting and thrusting, used for self-defense, blocking the same sword, and even used as throwing weapon. A very versatile weapon, as well as the character of Raphael. Michelangelo uses nunchucks in a fight. Nunchucks (nuntaks) are just 2 sticks connected by a cord. The ancestors of the nunchak were the flail, which the peasants used in the processing of rice. Despite its simplicity, a person who wields nunchucks to perfection could go against an opponent with a sword or spear with them. So Michelangelo is the simplest of the four, but at the same time full of hidden talents. Donatello works sixth. Often in the description you can find the phrase that Donatello uses the Bo pole, in fact the word "Bo" means "pole" in Japanese. It may seem that the pole is the most harmless weapon of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but in fact, the pole in skillful hands is a terrible and deadly weapon. The pole can pierce the enemy through, in addition, it allows you to keep the enemy close, which is quite in the spirit of Donatello.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics

  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1984)
  • The comic's original title translates as "" - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, or TMNT.

The idea for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic came to friends Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird quite by accident. Playing comical characters, they created the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Based on this, a comic parody of popular superheroes at that time was conceived. But, despite the intended parody, the plot of this comic was shrouded in darkness. Fierce battles, the eternal darkness of the sewers, gangs and the darkness of the streets, along which outcast teenage turtles walk. All this is perfectly emphasized by the black and white drawing of the comic. The comic is so gloomy and cruel that subsequently censorship cuts out entire episodes from it and even releases it in this form only under the “+16” sign. But in this impenetrable darkness there is an attractive beauty of its own. Later, when the comic began to be released in bulk and its orientation changed to a younger viewer, the gloominess was reduced, and violent scenes were minimized. And many fans did not like it: they wanted to see the old Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and not the glorious fat men in shells.

Initially, the comic about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was conceived by the authors as a parody of popular superheroes, but then this idea was abandoned.

But back to 1984, when everything was just beginning. Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird borrowed money and self-published Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics in 3,000 copies. The Turtles came out on poor paper, with poor quality printing, but with all this they made a splash. Those first numbers are in great demand among collectors. If in 1984 a comic book cost $1.50 apiece, then in 2010 one such issue was sold at an auction for $5,000. Later, other artists joined Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, and the comic was developed and continued.

The first volume of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics was black and white, except for the cover. It consisted of 67 individual issues. The second volume came out already in color and consisted of 13 issues. Following this, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) is declared officially closed by Mirage Studios.

In June 1996, Image Comics bought the comic book rights. New authors change the Turtles at their discretion. Image Comics only publishes 23 issues. The former popularity of the Turtles is no longer there.

And again, Mirage Studios takes on the release of comics about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The publishing house continues to release comics as if there was no story published and invented by Image Comics, that is, from the second volume. Turtles turn black and white again. The comic comes out under the laconic title TMNT.

It was the main line of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics, but not the only one. From August 1988 to October 1995, Archie Comics released a series of comics based on the 1997 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series, but which became a separate alternative history of the Mutant Mutant Turtles. These comics were also published in Russia.

Also, cartoons about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but not the 1997 series, but 2003, inspired Dreamware Productions to release a monthly comic. Ralston-Purina is a 1989 Turtle mini-comic created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. There were only 3 color issues, they were invested in the Ninja Turtles cereal.

After season 3 of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" comes the mini-season "Journey to Europe", which includes 14 episodes.

Season 5 of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles opens with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the Easter Bunny, which aired on September 14, 1991. The 10th season of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was released on September 14, 1996 and ended on November 2, 1996, closing the almost ten-year history of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series, on which a whole generation has already grown up, and which, despite not entirely successful last seasons has become a cult.

The plot of the animated series "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" in 1987 is somewhat different from the original, set out in the comics. So, for example, Splinter turns out to be not just a ninjatsu master's pet rat, but he himself is this person, who later mutated into a rat. April O'Neil turns into a reporter in the 1987 series, in the comics she is originally Baxter Stockman's assistant. The changes also affected the Turtles: for example, Rafael from a rebel and a bully reincarnated into a kind teenager in love. The plot of the animated series "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" goes away from the plot of the comics and does not intersect with it, and also does not affect further releases of the comic book series. And, of course, the series, unlike the comics, comes out in color.

Initially, the animated series is conceived as small, only 5 episodes, but it was so well received by the audience that the animated series about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles begins to appear regularly on Saturdays, and later several times a week. A total of 193 episodes were filmed about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

In Russia, the series began to be shown in the early 90s on the 2x2 channel.

The main enemies of the Turtles in this animated series are Shredder and Krang.

The animated series was conceived as a short story, but was well received by the audience, so it began to be released regularly on Saturdays

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation

  • Original title: Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation.

This cartoon "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" is significantly different from the previous one, at least in that in it the Turtles coexist with live actors. And in this series, a turtle girl appears - Venus de Milo, who owns the art of magic. According to some sources, Raphael is in love with Venus, according to others, she has an affair with Leonardo. Fans of this series draw and compose fanfiction "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" on the topic of these relationships, but the topic is not fully disclosed in the series itself.

Also in the TV series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation, the four have new enemies - Dragons. But the Dragons did not find the same popularity as Shredder. The audience was disappointed with them. Perhaps that is why the series was not particularly loved by the audience.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation has only 26 episodes.

She became the 14th episode of the 7th season of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. New Adventures!".

"Ninja Turtles. New Adventures!" produced by Mirage Studios, the original creator of the Mutant Turtles. It is immediately worth noting here that the creators of the turtles, Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, decided to become part of this series and appeared on the screen as two police officers involved in the plot. The creators of TMNT 2003 took into account previous mistakes and this series is more like a comic book than others. In addition, he became much more dramatic. But nevertheless, the difference between the animated series "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. New Adventures!" and the comics are still available. The main villain Shredder in this series is an alien. And Hamato Yoshi is here - the guard-guard of the Utroms, good aliens who suffered circling on Earth back in the days of Feudal Japan and are trying to return to their planet.

In the series, the heroes are waiting for very unusual plots: for example, an adventure in space, which the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will go on, and a journey into the past, where the heroes will find themselves in the days of Feudal Japan.

In 2003, a new animated series about the Heroic Four was released.

According to the plot of the series, Casey Jones and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles meet in childhood, and the Turtles teach Casey ninjatsu. Later in the series, Casey Jones and April O'Neil fall in love with each other.

New Adventures!" in season 5, it's more fantasy than science fiction: amulets and magic are at the heart of the adventure. Season 5 was only released on DVD. It consists of 12 episodes.

Ironically, all of the actors who played the Turtles while wearing masks took on cameo roles in the film and showed their true colors.

  • David Foreman, who played Leonardo, also portrayed the leader of the gang that attacked April.
  • Josh Paice - Raphael - revealed his face while playing a taxi passenger.
  • Michelin Sisty - the actor who became Michelangelo - played a pizza delivery man.
  • Donatello Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle - Leif Tilden, plays a member of the Foot gang.

An interesting fact is that in the film "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1" some actors played and wore masks of the Turtles, and completely different voiced the four.

  • Leonardo - Brian Tochi.
  • Raphael - Josh Paice (this is the only exception to the rule when the same actor played and voiced).
  • Michelangelo "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" - Robbie Rist.
  • Donatello - Corey Feldman.
  • This technique is repeatedly used in subsequent films about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: The Secret of the Emerald Potion: 1991 film

  • Título original: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze.

Following such a popular film of 1990, immediately, literally the next year, a sequel is released - the film "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: The Secret of the Emerald Potion."

In the wake of the success of the first film, the second was received by the public more than well. And besides, the film showed everything that the fans needed: even the evil hero - and the one with the prefix "super". Shredder got mutagen and turned into Super Shredder, and even in the company of two new mutants. To fight the Turtles, the turtle Tokka and the wolf Razzar were created. Rafael shows his freedom-loving explosive nature and decides to hunt the Foot Clan alone. If it were not for friends, he would have been in captivity is not sweet. The Turtles pull Rafael out of the Foot Clan's lair, but are forced to flee, the forces are too unequal. In the end, with the help of an antidote made by Professor Perry, the four defeat the evil mutants, but must fight the Super Shredder.

In the 1991 film, the heroes again challenge the villains of the Foot Clan

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3: 1993 film

  • Título original: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III.
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3 premiered on March 17, 1993.
  • Director: Stuart Gillard.

The film "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3" was received extremely negatively by both fans and critics. Noted film critic James Berardinelli wrote of the film: “Adults accompanying children to this film will have to come up with some new and interesting ways to sleep. Not only was this film aimed at young children, but the script was most likely written by them." But what's funny, the film, cursed by everyone, gave good rental fees. And the plot of the movie "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3" can not be called boring. April gives Splinter an ancient Japanese rod, which turns out to be a time machine. By chance, April ends up in Feudal Japan. To help her return home, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles undertake a journey into the past. But there are a few problems: the wand can only transfer back as much weight as it sent, and besides, the Turtles, having crossed through time, fall directly onto the battlefield.

Actors who played in the movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3:
Jim Rapoza - Donatello, Marc Caso - Leonardo, David Fraser - Michelangelo, Mat Hill - Raphael.

Voiced by the Turtles:

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Forever is not just a cartoon, it's a crossover. Usually in the crossover there are heroes of several independent from each other fictional universes. IN this case in this cartoon, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles of 1987, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles of 2003 and also the Turtles from the comics, Shredder decided to penetrate into the universe in order to destroy it.

In the story, parallel universes are connected through a portal. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from the 1987 animated series enter the dimension of 2003. And the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles of 2003 have to save them. Meanwhile, the villains also learn of the portal and summon Utrom Shredder Ch'rell. To destroy the super-powerful Shredder, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from different universes will have to unite and help each other.

  • Film director: Jonathan Liebesman.

Despite the fact that the images of the Turtles in this film are more similar to comic book characters, their origin story is fundamentally different from all previous ones. In general, the 2014 film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles received not too flattering reviews from the public. Critics found it boring. But 2014's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles did well at the box office around the world - about $500 million, not bad for a boring movie.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 (2016)

  • Original title: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadow.
  • Film director: Dafe Green.
  • Film companies: Paramount Pictures Corporation, Nickelodeon Movies, Platinum Dunes.
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 is the sequel to the 2014 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. The film premiered on May 30, 2016. In Russia, the release date of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 2016 was a little later - June 2, 2016.

The 2014 film "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" ended with the fact that Shredder does not die, but a container with a mutagen falls on him, which rejuvenates the criminal and adds certain qualities to him. At the beginning of the 2016 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, Shredder is in prison, from which he escapes by teleport, and finds himself on board the Technodrome, where he meets the alien Krang, who is secretly preparing an invasion of Earth. Shredder receives a new mutagen from Krang, with which he creates assistants for himself. The alien instructs Shredder to find the remaining parts of the system to which Shredder's portal belongs. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and April try to stop the villainous plans of Shredder and Krag, which they eventually succeed with some difficulty, and the heroes are handed the key to the city, which the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles swear to protect. The key rightfully belonged to them even after the completion of the 2014 film, but the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles had to give it up in order not to reveal themselves, although each of them dreamed of opening up to people and going to the surface.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 is a 2016 film about the new adventures of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

The actors who starred in 2016's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 are rumored to have signed on for a third film as well, which is reassuring for Turtles fans. The composition of the four, again according to rumors, will remain unchanged.

Starring in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 in 2016:
Leonardo - Pete Ploszek, Raphael - Alan Ritchson, Michelangelo - Noel Fisher, Donatello - Jeremy Howard, April - Megan Denise Fox.

This cast is exactly the same as the 2014 film. But Splinter in the 2014 film was played by Danny Woodburn, and in the movie "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2" - Peter Donald Badalamenti II. And only Splinter's voice remained the same - it belongs to Tony Shalub in both films.

The changes also affected the villains. In the movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, Shredder is played by another actor - this is Brian Tee. Recall that in the 2014 film, Shredder was represented by Tohoru Masamune.

One of the most popular games based on the 2016 Nickelodeon movie for Android is TMNT Portal Power - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Portal Power. It allows using portals to travel and fight in five dimensions.

To date, these are all the films in which the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are shown to us, new stories await us very soon. There are rumors about a sequel. Actor Tyler Perry, who played Baxter Stockman, suggested that his hero would be mutated into a fly, just like in one of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoons.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: songs and music

Turtle heroes are not only fighters against evil - first of all they are teenagers and are idols of young viewers, and therefore Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and music are inseparable. In the TV series, cartoons and films "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" music and songs play by no means a secondary role.

In 1990, there was even a real concert tour Coming Out of Their Shells by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles singing songs. Artists performed on stage in masks and costumes.

One of the composers of the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series is Chuck Lorre, a man who received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In addition to writing the music for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Chuck Lorre is a director, producer and writer. His authorship belongs to the famous so-called "vanity cards", which are video frames with text containing information about a personal discovery or event in Chuck's life. Such cards can be seen at the end of episodes, for example, in such a popular series as The Big Bang Theory.

In the 1987 series, the first musical opening appears, which later became legendary.

The song "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles", which opens the 1987 series and is the main one in the intro, is not quite usual: it seems to emphasize what its creators tried to convey to the reader of the comics, showing the comical nature of the story, its parody on the theme of legends about superheroes. So in the intro for the series, made in the style of rock, the text of the song about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is specially made not perfectly, so the characters themselves comment on its lines.

In the Russian version of the song "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" they refused to comment on the heroes, and all parody on other, mostly unknown to the public of that time, superheroes was also removed. But with all this, anyone who watched the 1987 series will immediately remember, if not the whole song, then its first line for sure, it’s enough to say just one phrase, like a password: “We are not miserable insects,” and you will get a response: “Super- ninja turtles!

Lyrics of Song "Ninja Turtles"
"We are not pathetic insects - Super Ninja Turtles!"

We are not miserable insects -
Super Ninja Turtles!
We wear shells like shirts,
Young talents - yes, yes!

Our squad of fighters is always united.
Harmful, negligent will win!
We are not afraid of attacks -
We'll put all the evil ones in a row.

We are not miserable insects -
Super Ninja Turtles!

The teacher gave mastery lessons,
Now we know them as twice two:
Be cold-blooded everywhere
Cover your friend's chest securely.

We are not miserable insects -
Super Ninja Turtles!
We wear shells like shirts,
Young talents - yes, yes!

The song about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from 2012 is not so popular and famous, but also loved by many fans.

Song about "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" (literal translation)

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Heroes in armor.
Turtle power!

Here we are, the green super ninja team!
There are cool teenagers on stage performing ninja moves!
We rise from the sewers with lightning speed, like laser beams!
Rock out with the armored pizza kings!
These cool dudes can't be stopped!
The secret of the canister made them the chosen ones.
Emerge from the shadows to make a move
The good guys win and the bad guys lose!

Leonardo is the leader in blue
Does everything to move the team forward.
Donatello is a guy who understands the mechanisms.
Rafael sets the mood for the team.
Michelangelo is one of a kind.
You know where to find it if there is a party!
Master Splinter taught them every skill it takes to be
A single green cool awesome team!

Fans of the Turtles, who were waiting for the release of the toy, were not disappointed: everything was as they wanted - these are classic enemies, art stylized as the original comic book, the humor inherent in the heroes and excellent fights. There is basically one complaint to the developers - the toy goes too fast.

Sega's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles begins their story on December 22, 1992 with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Hyperstone Heist, created by Konami. The game is based on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series and is one of its best adaptations.

There are three versions of the game for different consoles. Each of them is represented by one of the turtles displayed on the cover. Public criticism

The first original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics were heavily censored because they contained scenes so bloody and violent that it was impossible to show them to children. But even the edited ones came out under the sign "+16". Despite the fact that since then the creators of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics and cartoons have tried to release their products primarily for a children's audience, many parents are distrustful of comics and films, believing that this story contains too many scenes of cruelty and violence to be shown to children. Children bring what they see on the screen to life, showing aggression and arranging fights, not only boys, but also girls. “And we notice that girls start kicking like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Girls become violent not only verbally, but also in behavior,” said Vera Abramenkova, an Orthodox psychologist, chief researcher at the Institute of Psychological and Pedagogical Problems of Childhood of the Russian Academy of Education. Vera Abramenkova believes that the hero that children see on the screen should be positive, not aggressive, because children tend to imitate what they see.

And a child psychologist, a member of the Writers' Union, chairman of the international society of art teachers and art therapists, the author of the "puppet therapy" method, Irina Medvedeva, writes the following:
“First of all, these cartoons have a completely different picture of the world. The world, the background against which the events of the cartoon take place, lies hopelessly in evil. And only miserable grains of good in the form of some kind of ninja turtles are trying to fight evil. Moreover, evil, as a rule, is destroyed physically, which is absolutely unusual for our mode of action in fairy tales, where they tried to fight evil in other ways: they tried to outwit it or persuade it. We only cut off the heads of the Serpent Gorynych. There has never been such a thing that blood flows like a river in cartoons.
But the most important thing is that the villain in foreign "cartoons" - Shredder - in "Ninja Turtles", all these cyborgs are the modern incarnation of the devil. This is not typical for Russian culture, because in Orthodoxy there has always been a very strict ban on close contact of a person with evil spirits.

The edited scenes of the series were released under the sign "16+", but they were still subjected to harsh criticism from the public.

Adults find the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles too intimidating to show to children. In their opinion, such heroes can bring a child, if not to stuttering, then to terrible dreams for sure. Especially with the appearance of the Turtles, the creators of the latest superhero films went too far. Often on forums for parents, you can come across stories that tell how a child, after seeing a frightening scene from a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon, becomes nervous, begins to be afraid of the dark and refuses to sleep alone. Many advise not to show Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoons to young children, and it is worth listening to these tips. Before accusing the creators of the cruelty of the characters, it is necessary to pay attention to what the child is watching and choose a more suitable movie for him to watch.

But many parents of teenagers express dissatisfaction with the Turtles. The short-range behavior of the characters also caused criticism. Silly conversations, actions and actions of characters cause in some teenagers a desire to imitate them, which affects their behavior and assessments. Adults are not at all happy that their children are degrading after their favorite characters.

The defenders of the Mutant Ninja Turtles look at all this from a completely opposite point of view. They claim that the violent scenes and frightening monsters help children and adults to fight and conquer their own fears. The repulsive, at first glance, appearance of the Turtles makes teenagers understand that the main thing is not the appearance, because of which they often complex, but the character and desire to help friends. The Turtles also teach their viewers the ability to be friends, the ability to forgive and understand their friend.

  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are meant to be a parody of superheroes.
  • The names of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are borrowed from the great artists of the Renaissance: Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Donatello and Raphael.
  • In order not to get confused in the cartoon and the movie, who is who, it is easy to distinguish the name of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles by the color of their headbands. Although the Turtles were originally depicted in black and white, it was only on the cover of the comic that the color of their armbands was red. Then the red armband remained only with Raphael from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Leonardo received a blue armband, Donatello a purple one, and Michelangelo an orange one.
  • Among fans, there is an opinion that the color of the headband of the Turtles corresponds to the character's character.
  • In the 1990 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, Splinter is controlled by three puppeteers at once.
  • In the 90s of the last century, the Minsk publishing house published the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series, the books in this series were written by unknown authors. In total, about 34 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles books have been published. The plots of these books are essentially a retelling of well-known films of that time, such as Alien, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Evil Dead, Friday the 13th, The Warlock and other films popular at that time, only their heroes are replaced by Turtles.
  • In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: The Secret of the Emerald Potion, Shredder is played by two actors and one voice actor.
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creator Kevin Eastman starred in episodes of the 2014 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
  • In the cartoon "Turtles Forever" Rafael breaks the "fourth wall", that is, he directly addresses the viewer, which, according to many critics, is simply unacceptable in the cinema. The first person and friend of the turtles is April O'Neil, whom they saved from robots - Mausers.

The second person to visit the turtles' home is Raf's friend, the masked vigilante Casey Jones.

One day, while patrolling the city, Leo is attacked by Foot ninjas. In this fight, he lost. In order for the leader of the turtles to come to his senses and gather his strength, the brothers leave the city for the house of Casey Jones's grandmother.
