Series Description : The plot tells about a boy named Ash from the city of Pallet, who dreams of becoming a Pokémon Master - the best of trainers. Unlike the games, his first Pokémon was Pikachu, while in the games, the starting Pokémon are Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. Ash is joined by Misty, the leader of the water stadium in the city of Cerulin, who wants to make Ash pay for his broken bike, and Brock, the leader of the stone stadium in the city of Pewter, who dreams of becoming a Pokémon breeder, a complete Don Juan. Hot on the heels of the heroes are Team Rocket members Jessie, James and Meowth, who intend to steal Ash's Pikachu, but fail time after time. Ash travels around Kanto with his friends, catching new Pokémon, defeating stadium leaders, collecting their badges, taking part in the Pokémon League tournament, but losing after reaching the quarterfinals. Approximately according to the same plan, the main plot of almost all the following story arcs happens.
The story continued in season 2, where Ash traveled to the Orange Islands, a region only present in the anime. Prof. Oak sends Ash to fetch the GS Ball, a mysterious Poké Ball that cannot be opened, but Ash, learning about the local tournament, decides to stay and participate in it. Brock was replaced by Tracey Sketchit, a Pokémon observer. As a result, Ash becomes the champion of the Orange League and goes to the Johto region with Brock and Misty, while Tracy stays with Prof. Ouka. Ash, having collected all 8 badges of Johto, takes part in the competition of the Silver Conference and reaches the semi-finals. At the tournament, he defeats Gary Oak, his own main competitor, who was constantly several steps ahead of Ash. Ash, Misty, and Brock say goodbye to each other as Misty and Brock have to take care of their own stadiums. Thus ends the original television series and begins The New Generation.
After losing the tournament, Ash, leaving prof. The ouka of all of his Pokémon (with the exception of Pikachu) travels to the Hoenn region on his own, later joined by Brock, and aspiring trainer Mei and her younger brother Max. "New Generation" ends with "Battle Edge", where Ash returns to Kanto and competes in the Battle Edge, which he wins.
